I had a magical stay at The Far End Surf House and can wholeheartedly recommend it! What I will remember in particular: - The extraordinary hospitality of Artti and his partner (great atmosphere in the house, interesting conversations, lots of fun together, and much more) - the fabulous dinners—Artti is truly a master chef, and every meal at the long table, with the fireplace in the background, was lovingly prepared and enjoyed together - the great surfing lessons with the local surf instructor and the surf theory lessons with Artti - the beautiful, lovingly tended garden (with orange trees, a pool, a yoga terrace, and a roof terrace) - Sitting in the hot tub under the starry sky, listening to music and telling funny stories - The cozy vibe in the house and the lovely people, it was such a pleasant atmosphere and I felt comfortable and at home from the very first moment Thank you so much, Artti, for this special stay! I would love to come back!

Artti and Isabella are super hosts! So welcoming and so kind. The surf house is located 10min from the beach and they helped to organize transports to the surf lessons and back, even offered to do day trips to nearby places. I felt very at home at their place. Couldn't ask for better hosts! PS! Every breakfast and dinner was so well made which made you feel fulfilled, grounded and happy!

Friendly surf house with huge organic fruit garden with natural pool. They also have pond with frogs. And in the garden there were so many orange trees. You can eat directly the oranges. We made orange juice almost every day. House is big and cozy, and warm. Breakfast buffet was made everyday. They had great vegetarian options. Dinner also was great. Surf teacher Artti was helping me a lot to improve my surfing. We drove everyday to the best spots, because house was not directly on the beach. One day we also used firewood hot tub which was amazing. Highly recommended and I will return next year with my friends.

Went there for my first ever solo trip and it was AWESOME. All the other guests where so chill, staff was super super friendly, food was delicious und rooms were clean. Loved the garden with fresh fruits and hammocks for relaxing. Only thing is that if you don't come by car you're pretty much dependent on someone to drive you everywhere, which wasn't a problem at all because we as a group often drove somewhere together or someone from the staff could pick you up without any issue. Surf instructor Pedro is also sooo chill, he hypes you up after success and gives really helpfull feedback when you fail. All in all most fun trip I've been to, would go there again in an instant.

We have taken notes: great food, chill guests, awesome staff, clean rooms, spaces to relax and wonderful and understanding surf teacher.

We completely understand that some guests might depend on cars for convenience. It's great to hear that the flexibility and freedom you enjoyed as a group made a difference. Our staff tries to provide transportation when possible in order to minimize dependency. We aim to make every guest's stay as enjoyable and hassle-free as possible.

25 days at the Far end Surf House was unmemorable- great food, farm to table usually, great rooms & showers that are super clean, nothing to fault as Artti & his team go above and beyond to make sure their guests feel comfortable. You can take day trips easily via Uber if you want to explore. For surfers they conduct retreats & likewise for yogis. Really hope to be back someday!

Food - best! really a lot of options always on the table, and everything was super delicious and also beautifully presented. Surf - huuuuge sand beaches! Our coach was experienced and helpful, we were lucky to have basically private beach for surfing. House - beautiful house with huge garden and a lot of corners to chill out, do yoga etc and a cozy common backyard for eating together. And also, Artti is super chill, friendly and helful host :) I recommend!

I highly recommend this place!! Perfect for people who want to advance their surfing skills and for people who just want to explore the beautiful oceanside. Loads of great surf spots just a short ride away. Thank you Artti, for keeping a nice cosy feeling. He was very kind and very helpful! Also a great chef who tries to keep the food local and full of natural taste!

10/10 Artti and the team are the kindest nicest people who make the best food. I got there by uber and no problem. Would recommend having a car though to get to beaches, there are so so many for surfing and chilling and tons of cool beach bars and burgers around. Also 200m from house is very nice Portuguese local restaurant Carlos something. The house and facilities were super clean, I swam in pool, we did hot tub and I stayed a week in glamping which was my favorite part. Super good warm blankets and fresh air. Oh and the food every day was so healthy and variety better than 5 star hotel. Good coffee. Literally high quality life there. I wouldn’t have left but the house is fully booked for the next weeks. I will go back. Really nice rest and surf and everything:) They also have surf boards and wetsuits to rent. And you can have massage.

What a beautiful slice of paradise this place is!! I booked a 7 day surf stay and searched around a bit as I wanted a place which was relaxing and not a party vibe. Well the far end surf house exceeded my expectations. The communal breakfasts and dinners and delicious and a wonderful time to meet fellow guests. There is such a homey vibe to this place I honestly never wanted to leave it was like a home away from home. There is so much space so you can have alone time chilling in the hammock or there is always the option to socialise and do things with other guests. The surf lessons were great as well, the location of this place isn’t in a particularly touristy area which makes the surf lessons even better as the beaches you go to are very quiet! If you want to get out and about in the day there are plenty of sights to see around that you can reach by über (peniche, baleal, Berlenga islands, obidos, Ericeira). I loved this place so much I ended up extending my stay 😀

We booked a surf vacation and ended up finding not just a home, but a second family! ☺️ Our stay at Far End Surf House with Artti and the whole team was simply incredible. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and truly unforgettable. The food was always freshly cooked and absolutely delicious, the rooms were cozy and charming, and the whole area felt like a dream getaway where you can relax completely. What really made the experience special was the staff — always approachable, helpful, and treating us like part of the family. Evenings were magical: sharing dinner and time together with all the guests and staff created such a beautiful community feeling. The international vibe was amazing, and we left with new friendships from around the world. And of course — the surfing! As total beginners, we couldn’t have asked for a better coach. Patient, motivating, and inspiring, he made every session fun and pushed us to achieve our very best. Thanks to him, we had the most exciting first surf experience ever. We came for a surf vacation and left with incredible memories, new friends, and a strong desire to come back as soon as possible. 100% recommended! 🌊✨

This was an incredible surf retreat! Artti has created a wonderful environment resulting in the best week I could have imagined. The surfing lessons were incredible, the vibe in the villa was chill, relaxing and welcoming. I travelled as a solo 30 yr old male, and it was very easy to meet people. Everyone is very welcoming and friendly. The food is incredible, and you feel like you’re in Artti’s home. I can’t recommend this place more. I stayed in the shared accommodation which I was hesitant about and had a great time. They also have volunteers who were fantastic (Saskia), who hung out with us in their free time. Everything met and exceeded expectations. If you’re looking for a good surf retreat to meet new people and chill, look no further.

The Far End Surf house is run by Arti, who is not only a wonderful chef for the camp, but also has travelled around and spent enough time in surfhousees around the world, to know what makes a great place to stay for surfers and peepz. The location has a sweet garden, the rooms are lovely and no matter from which window, you have a good view. Arti, knows and loves and understands surfing as well as surfers - and shares his knowledge in a brilliant way, in and OUTSIDE of the water! Yessai! Of course has he well his insider tips for the spots in the hood and will occasionaly join you. The food - dinner and breakfeast - were rich but light and healthy but tasty and veggies options included. Vitamins and coffin always available. The atmosphere is family, chill and love and i felt suepr welcome. I had great conversations with intersting people, some little glasses of wine and great memories. I will be back. Like big times. Not recommended for super-duper-party peeps!

For me this was an oasis for a week-long surf and vacation trip. Far End Surfhouse offers different room options (shared, private, or glamping), so everybody can find what fits their style. The big garden has fruit trees, a slackline, a pool, a yoga/training room, a sun terrace, a hut tub, and plenty of quiet corners for sunbathing or reading. Breakfasts and optional dinners are generous, delicious, and made with lots of fresh, local products. The hosts make sure the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. The surfhouse is located near Lourinhã and works with The Surf Academy for lessons. As a beginner, I loved that everything was arranged, and transport to and from the beach was included on lesson days. More experienced surfers can simply rent gear from the surfhouse and head out on their own. If you have rented a car or use Uber, you’re of course free to drive yourself to the beaches. There are also plenty of other activities available nearby (a trip to a nearby island, golf, horse riding, or, well, you can't miss the dinosaurs). But for me, the perfect mix was surf lessons, some light walks, and lots of time enjoying the surfhouse itself—it was the ideal place to recharge.

I would 100% recommend staying at The Far End Surf House. I have just returned after a 7 night 8 day stay and I am feeling so refreshed. I combined my stay with some surf lessons and for the stay, the lessons and the amazing food here, you will not find a better deal. Amazing value for money and an overall cool, chill vibe!
