I believe I spoke to Sonia. She was extremely rude and kept on interrupting me and when I was trying to communicate, she would abruptly interrupt me so far worst experience I've had looking for legal help.

She is one of the best family law/divorce lawyer. In 2009, I had to go through divorce and Indu guided me every step of the way. I felt she truly cared for me and made sure I had the best custody schedule for me and my son. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Indu during a very difficult and challenging time in my life. She is not only incredibly personable but showed herself to be the consummate professional. After reading the reviews here I contacted Indu's law office. I had a consultation which was free. I had more questions and was told I need to pay if I have more involved questions.
I paid and set an appointment. I called at the appointment time, I was told by receptionist that Indu got called into court I would have to reschedule. I rescheduled.
I called back at my new time. During my phone call the lawyer had to step away and answer some other phone calls and said she would be right back.
After waiting she returned again, about 10 minutes before my time was up I said I need some time to review what I was told and asked if I have more questions can I call back. She said yea you have a couple minutes left and I reminded her that she stepped away twice during our phone call and I thought that shouldn't be counted towards my time, she acted annoyed by this and said it would be fine.
Four phone calls later, two weeks later I got a call back, spoke for five minutes.
Everything felt rushed and inconsiderate.
Edit: I would have not felt this way, had you answered my call 2 weeks prior. Or a phone call saying I'm busy.
Also you advertise free consultations.

I clearly remember our conversation where you had three very specific questions, which I answered to your satisfaction. Our call ended with you telling me, "those are all the questions I had," I do not understand how you feel rushed. Moreover, I had spoken with you initially for 25 minutes, which you had paid for and at that time you did not have any questions to ask me for the remaining five minutes.
My minimum for any paid consultation is half an hour, whether you use the entire time or not. This is very standard for all attorneys. The only reason I told you that you could call me back if you had a few questions was a courtesy. I could have charged you for another half an hour for the other three questions you had, but since we were on the phone for 7 minutes and 32 seconds and I had offered you that courtesy in the first place, it was never brought up.
Prior to you and I speaking you spoke to my paralegal twice regarding help with document related questions and each phone call lasted approximately 30 minutes. My office has gone above and beyond to help you.

I contacted Indu after one of my friend's case got to a level where mediation wasn't an option anymore. She was referred by a few different lawyers who knew her, and endorsed her strongly. After having seen her in action in court in a different case, I knew Indu was a good fit for my friend's case because she had the right amount of strength and perseverance needed. She developed strategy to get the results we were hoping for, involved a team of professional support necessary to achieve it. Although the four day trial was not easy, we felt in good hands throughout the process. The judge finally made the order in my friend's favor. Really helpful with all questions. The process was a little slower than expected but Indu and her staff were very knowledgeable and helpful with the paperwork and the overall process for my case. Even though they did a lot of extra work, pricing was very reasonable because it was a fixed rate.
In addition, I want to mention that I never met Indu or her staff since I live in the Bay, but we communicated via phone and email while they helped me through each step of my case; everything was finished in a reasonable amount of time.
