Experience Mysuru is doing a phenomenal job in curating high-quality, cultural events that truly bring the heritage of this city to life. We recently attended two of their events, and both were unforgettable.
The first was an engaging introduction to Chande (a traditional percussion instrument) followed by an intimate storytelling session by Ramaswamy. His narration was deeply enriching and transported us through time and tradition with such grace and authenticity.
The second event we attended was a unique puppet show based on a chapter from the Mahabharata. It was a refreshing and rare experience — beautifully executed, and something we had never seen before.
Hats off to the passionate team behind Experience Mysuru for creating such thoughtfully curated programs and giving locals and visitors alike a chance to dive into the rich cultural fabric of Mysore. Truly a must-experience for anyone who loves art, heritage, and meaningful stories.

If all the experience is made available to the tourists on their check list after sightseeing it will definitely add to their memory and large volume of people will be able to experience the culture of Mysore .
Gundu Raju is a ninth gen puppet master whose expertise has been leveraged by museums and art historians. To witness his art today was such a joy! In fact, his son and his grandson have already been taking their family legacy forward, and it’s heartening to see. The puppets themselves were vibrant and glorious! The tabla musician was great, too! Thanks to such new cultural spaces that I hope will continue to preserve India’s breathtakingly diverse forms of art!

Whenever I have guests visiting, I always talk about Mysuru’s heritage and culture. It’s something I take a lot of pride in. But until now, we’ve never really had a space that captures the essence of Mysore in one place that we could share with visitors from outside the state or the country.
In just two hours, this experience manages to bring together the sights, sounds, tastes, and textures of Mysuru. It’s immersive, emotional, and rooted in everything that makes our city magical.
I’m genuinely proud of the team that’s made this possible. Every Mysurean should experience it—and take others along to see, touch, hear, and taste the magic of Mysore.
