Our experience was an epic adventure from the beginning. We got to see Chemka Hot Springs, Materuni waterfalls, and a traditional authentic coffee experience with the Materuni people. All admission was included with the purchase, and we rode on the back of motorcycle to all sites from our hotel in Moshi. Their hospitality, jokes, sense of adventure, and care for us as their guests were unmatched. Thank you for an incredible experience. We will never forget.

Excellent Staff! What an incredible TEAM! I just had the most incredible, exceptional, customer service encounter in years! Unfortunately I decided to cancel my trip for the hike because of a change in my destination, but I received the best response from the company who showed understanding and invited me to join in another opportunity for a hike at Mt. Kilimangaro. I most definitely will be rebooking with the company and all I can say is that if they can deliver great service such as this before hand, well I know the experience will be EXCEPTIONAL!!!

Ok, but we left with a bad feeling The tour was informative, but too short, the coffee making part was max 30min. After that they pressure you into buying local souvenirs for quite an expensive price while there are like 13 people watching you, so it does not really give us a good feeling as a tourist. After we asked we also got a good tour of the farm itself, which was nice, so shout out to Ozzy. In general, the tour felt a bit like a quick money maker for the guys.

Insightful experience Felix coordinated a great morning experience for me. Everyone was extremely welcoming in the Materuni Village, where I got schooled on organic coffee growing, processing and brewing. I also found bananas, yams and chickens getting raised alongside the coffee plants. Later that afternoon my friend joined me and the Hillsborn team toured us through the local Moshi market. Certainly recommend this if you’d like to experience local flavor.

If you're eager to try climbing mountain Kilimanjaro or visiting Materuni waterfalls and experience the taste of the coffee that is produced and prepared locally by the farmers around Mountain Kilimanjaro. Great experience Excellent tour which started with greetings from Filex, we travelled to the location outside of Moshi and I was made aware of places of interest. Had a great welcome by the people who would show me the traditional methods of coffee making. Everybody was friendly, willing to share information and answer questions. Me llevaron a una plantación local de café donde pude experimentar directamente como se cosechan los granos y se realiza todo el proceso de la forma tradicional. A Perfect Day I had a perfect day. I was picked up at my hotel and Noela and I went to the market to buy the ingredients we needed. It was busy and good to see the local ways. We then drove to Materuni Village where we prepared and cooked four dishes. The women in the village made me very welcome and it was a lovely experience. I would thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone. At the end of cooking you sit down and eat your meal that you cooked. A fantastic day in a mountain village

I will be back Working with hillborn organic coffee to be sure that we saw as much as we could in and around Moshi was a great experience! Our booking experience was easy and very pleasant and their prices were very competitive with other tour companies we looked into. We were picked up at our arranged time from our hotel and our guides were laid back but knowledgeable and appeared excited to spend the day with us. Our first day trip was to the Materuni Waterfall and our guide was Gift Rasta man. Hey people,he is the best.First, we stopped at Hillborn Organic Coffee to learn about local organic coffee production and have a cup of the best coffee I've ever had (that we helped make from scratch pretty much!). Gift and Oscar led us on a beautiful path with great views through the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro until we came to the gorgeous waterfall. We had the option to swim and spend as much time as we wanted at the falls but the water was really cold. There was a nice spot that overlooked the falls where we ate our lunch and had some very pleasant conversation before heading back.We had a really memorable day. It was a lot of fun.

The best coffee and hospitality I've been two Kilimanjaro twice now and I always schedule time to visit Hillborn Organic Coffee. Oscar and his family give up close hands on tour of the planation from every stage of growing and preparing the coffee. The coffee that Oscar served us is possibly the best coffee I've ever had. And don't forget the waterfall! Maternui waterfall is spectacular. You may want to bring your bathing suit and go for a plunge!
