Oh Do Kwan has been amazing for my 7- and 5-year-old. Both of my kids have gained confidence that shows not just in class, but also at school and on the soccer field. The coaches are highly experienced and do a great job reinforcing both the skills and the discipline of the martial art. That discipline carries over into their daily lives, which has been a huge positive for our family. If you’re thinking about signing your kids up, I can honestly say you won’t regret it.

The confidence of my 9yr old daughter has grown significantly only a month into the class. There are plenty of kids her age and size. The kids that are bigger will go easy on smaller kids. Kids with more experience will help the younger or newer members learn and will even correct poor techniques. It's fun to watch. She loves it and we are so glad we joined. The instructors are great with the kids. Discipline, respect, technique, concentration and fitness are all highly valued by the instructors and taught to the kids every class while keeping it fun and engaging.

I am out of shape, in my 30s, and I’ve never thrown a punch in my life. None of that mattered when I joined here! Master Joaquin and Bryce have both helped me tremendously, and I look forward to each class to learn more and push myself. My son and I have been training here for about 8 months now. I can't imagine training at any other school. The instruction given from Bryce and Master Joaquin aim to develop us to the highest level. They focus on teaching what is really important and build on that foundation. I've seen first hand the difference between students at our school and other schools in the region, and Oh Do Kwan creates much better fighters. Each student's needs are personally addressed in class. We are watched and evaluated closely, and they do all they can to help us continue to improve. For the kids: Lessons teach discipline, humility, kindness and how to listen to instructions. All of the kids respect and are kind to each other. They learn true sportsmanship and are taught to keep ego out of the building. It's a great class and we need more kids in Sharpsburg! For the adults: All of the above, plus more advanced development. I love the group of people here. It feels like we are all a family and everybody is looking out for each other. We all try to help each other grow in the sport if we can. I have not encountered a single person I have not enjoyed working with, and I look forward to every class. I look at myself 8 months ago and can't believe the progress I have made since I first started. It feels great. I will continue to train here for the foreseeable future, and highly recommend joining if you are looking to get in shape, learn the art, compete or not compete.

This is the perfect place for any child or adult to build self confidence, learn inner strength, discipline, and focus. If you are looking for all of the above, then Oh Do Kwan is for you and your child(ren). My son has been at this school for 4 years and this has been the greatest experience for our now 8 year old. He has learned and continues to learn so much about himself, his skills, and his desire to be a better martial arts student. We couldn't be happier and there aren't instructors in town or the state of Georgia as impressive as Master Joaquin and Bryce.

I have been in the martial arts for over 20 years and have studied at several schools during my tenure. This school is by far the best well rounded dojo I have attended. The school teaches a modern practical application of several martial arts disciplines and the instructors are extremely knowledgeable. The school will tailor its instruction around your capabilities and instructors know just the right amount of motivation techniques to get you to expand and grow. Best of all you really feel like a family member at this school. Everybody takes an interests in your well being and we all push to make each other better martial artists. I highly recommend you stop by the dojo and see for yourself.
