Thank you Dawn.! Dawn truly is an amazing caring soul who is 100% an advocate for our seniors. Dawn was referred to me after having a stressful transition with my mom needing more care and it was time for Mom to join a community. From the first phone call I had with Dawn I immediately felt calm and less stressed. Dawn made it very clear she will do whatever she can to help us with mom’s care. Dawn met with mom and I 1.5 hours after speaking with her on the phone. 1 hour after that we were touring 2 places for mom, by that evening the decision was made. Yes it was that easy.! Once we started working with Dawn the doors just opened up and we were able to get into communities immediately.! Dawn stayed involved during the entire process of getting mom all situated. I truly can not say enough good things about Dawn. We are forever grateful for you guiding us through this time of mom’s life.

If I could give Opening New Doors more than 5 stars, I would. In no time, they found a place for my 85 year old uncle that perfectly fit his needs and his budget. Dawn and Heidi were so personable and great to work with. From the beginning, treated us like a friend/family. We couldn't ask for more. I would recommend Opening New Doors to anyone looking for senior living.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dawn Dumont at Opening New Doors. I was referred to her by a social worker at Generations Geriatric Mental Health after my dad’s dementia diagnosis, and from our very first conversation, I knew we were in the right hands. Honestly, after that first call, I felt like a massive weight had been lifted. What had felt overwhelming suddenly felt manageable, simply because I knew I was working with exactly the right person. Dawn is incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and compassionate. She jumped in right away and guided us through the process with such clarity and confidence. Her understanding of how the system works—and her familiarity with the facilities in the region—made a huge difference. What I appreciated most was how she balanced being honest and straightforward with genuine kindness and empathy. She truly understands how emotional and difficult this process is, and she met my sister and me with so much care and respect. Dawn was an absolute steady presence during a very challenging time. I would recommend her without hesitation—she should be the very first call anyone makes when navigating placement for a loved one.

Dawn was a tremendous help when I needed to move my father to an assisted living facility on short notice. She is very knowledgeable about how the system works and is familiar with many different options in NH. She is warm, caring, supportive and efficient. I was pretty desperate. My social worker gave me Dawn’s number so I called. My husband had behavioral problems so he was difficult to place. She took me on tours of three facilities but no one would accept him. After touring three more, we found a place for him. Three weeks later he got kicked out. I called her again and we finally got him in a place that was willing to work with him and get his meds straightened out. He is now doing well. I don’t know what I would have done without Dawn. She was there for me even during her difficult times.

Dawn was an amazing person to find when we were looking for help finding an assisted living facility for my mom. She provided resources, contacts, information, and organized tours for us. I would highly recommend her service! She was wonderful to work with and so supportive. We have used her twice and due to the nature of my moms illness will most likely need her again, but it takes such a huge burden off of the family knowing that she is a phone call away and is always friendly and kind. As my grandmother's caregiver, we found ourselves in a challenging situation with her memory loss and frequent falls. We were blessed to have her living in an in-law apartment at our house for 5 years but reached a point when it was no longer feasible or safe. Dawn and Heidi were an amazing help to our family during this time. They assessed our family's needs and worked quickly to set up visits with facilities. I have been a nurse for 20 years but never with elderly patients or those with memory loss. My concerns were always validated with their expertise in this area. I appreciated having Dawn and Heidi to help us to navigate this system as they acted as the "middle person" between our family and the facilities. When we ultimately made our decision, Dawn was only a phone call or text away if issues came up. It took some time for my grandmother to settle into her new home but we have comfort knowing that she is somewhere that she is loved and cared for if we are unable to be with her. Just a thank you hardly seems like enough!

Taking care of an aging parent can be extremely stressful with alot of uncertainty. Thankfully, Dawn Dumont was referred to me by multiple physicians. Working with someone local proved to be a vital piece of the process when it was clear my mother would not be able to live at home anymore. Dawn was always a phone call or text message away, while our family attempted to navigate unforseen health issues for our mother, even when we had to suspend our search. It was obvious early on, that she genuinely cared for the best possible outcome. Heidi was also a great resource, giving insight and thought to services that we may not have otherwise considered as we toured communities. Due to this dynamic duo, our mother is living her best life, thriving much more than we could have ever expected.

My mom was an “exit seeker” and in need of a secure, safe and friendly facility. I’ve never had to research facilities and didn’t know where to begin, so Dawn and her team were life savers. We have two parents that seemed to instantly need to be placed in assisted living. We were unprepared as to how to navigate this part of life. We were given Wendy Martineau’s name. Wendy took the reigns and helped us immensely! She took us under her wings and steered us in the proper direction. Thank heavens! She gave us suggestions and we went to visit those places. After making a decision to place both of them in the same facility, one of them was denied as his needs were too great. Just when we were feeling so defeated Wendy directed us to another facility. They accepted both of them. It has been a godsend. We would never have been able to navigate this by ourselves. Now that the parents are settled in and loving this new facility, Wendy is still checking in on them! Simply amazing! Thank you Wendy for everything you have done and continue to do.
