Awesome Gym Away from the Crowds
I had a wonderful time during my two week stay at JP Boxing Gym. Every single person, from the owners to the trainers to the kitchen staff, were friendly, professional, and helpful. Ploy was quick to respond to any questions and help if a need arose. The Muay Thai trainers were highly skilled and worked with to those, like me, who enjoy Muay Thai as a form of exercise, to those wanting to improve their skills and spar. I stayed at the gym. Rooms were basic and clean. Each meal of traditional Thai food was delicious and hearty. Outside of the gym, I enjoyed being in an area of Thailand with fewer tourists. I enjoyed the quiet local feel and the Sunday trips to parts of Thailand not many foreigners visit. I recommend JP Boxing Gym without hesitation and I hope to return one day soon.

Fantastic experience!
This was a great place to spend a month in Thailand! I came to the camp due to work burnout and thought it would be fun to learn to box. The trainers are very knowledgeable and great fun to work with. The training ranges from absolute beginner to very advanced, so every level is able to participate and progress. I highly recommend the VIP package with yoga, outings and Thai massage. The whole experience was a fantastic “reset”. I’m a 57 yo female physician who works way too much and needed to feel some life again :) I really cannot recommend it enough. My 18yo daughter ended up joining me and loved it so much she is staying for another month! Great environment. Fantastic people. I stayed at the hotel which was wonderful and everyone was so very kind and accommodating. Highly recommend - just go!

Me and my son had a wonderful experience at JP gym. The instructors were patient and provided excellent teaching for two beginners. I would definitely recommend this gym and hope to come again in the future.

Best Muay Thai Experience in Thailand
I had an incredible experience at this Muay Thai boot camp. Phitsanulok is a charming, friendly city that deserves far more attention than it gets, and it was the perfect place to spend a week training. The classes were small enough that everyone received plenty of individual attention, while still bringing together people from all over the world. Ploy made us feel like part of the family from day one and was always happy to help with anything we needed. Songkum is an excellent trainer who knows how to push you while building your confidence at the same time. The combination of Muay Thai, yoga, saunas, and ice baths made recovery just as enjoyable as the training, and the home-cooked Thai meals were fresh, authentic, and exactly what you want after a hard session. I would recommend this experience to anyone, whether you’re travelling solo, with friends, as a couple, or with family. I will see you again next year!
Amazing and Authentic Muay Thai Experience with Fantastic People
I was fortunate enough to be able to train at JP for 4 weeks, and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I initially booked just 2 weeks, unsure whether a beginner would fit in, but I loved it so much I extended without hesitation. The entire staff makes you feel truly welcome regardless of your Muay Thai skill level. Every training was challenging but super fun. All the instructors are highly skilled and truly care about your progress, tailoring bag and pad work to target areas where you are struggling. All the facilities at the gym are great - sauna, ice bath, weights. The gym serves authentic Thai food that is fantastic. I also highly recommend doing the yoga classes as well, the instructor is incredible. Thank you to Jay and Ploy for creating such an amazing environment where I never felt like just another customer but always felt like family. I also want to thank Kru Songkom, Kru Art, Kru Niniew and the rest of the staff for making this experience so memorable. I highly recommend a stay at JP and can’t wait to come back!
Best experience I've ever had!
Just completed a 4 week Muay Thai camp at JP Boxing, and it was one of the best experience of my life. I am fitter, stronger and can now fight! A Muay Thai camp was something I always wanted to do since I was young and 36 years later, I finally got the opportunity to do one. After extensive research, I chose JP Boxing in Phitsanulok. I wanted an authentic, beginner friendly experience and JP Boxing delivered exponentially. I immediately felt welcomed, and any pre camp fears were gone straight away. I chose to stay within the camp itself to immerse myself in the training. The room was very comfortable and if I had any issue it was felt with immediately by the team. The food was amazing every day and was healthy and nutritious. The cook in the camp should work in a Michelin Star Restaurant! As for the training, it is twice a day for 6 days. Obviously it is tough for a beginner but I feel a million times better in myself. Tough but extremely satisfying. The best part of the camp are the trainers. Kru Song Kom, Kru Art and Kru Niniew were absolutely fantastic! They have exceptional knowledge in Muay Thai and boxing and brilliant patience for beginners like me. These 3 are incredible trainers. Kru Song Kom has a wealth of experience, passion and elite knowledge about the sport of Muay Thai, Kru Art brings high energy and exceptional skill in Muay Thai and Kru Niniew displays brilliant skill and top knowledge to boxing. But most importantly, they became my good friends. They are wonderful people. All my fellow camp mates who were here when I came or joined, were really nice and added to the great experience. I gained some valuable friendships while in the camp. Phitsanulok is also a wonderful city. If you are looking for an authentic Thai experience, than Phitsanulok is your stop. It has beautiful temples, vibrant night markets and wonderful people. It is very chill and relaxed, which helped me a lot with my training. Finally, to Jay and Ployy who run the gym, they are wonderful people. They are awesome at making people feel welcome to the camp. They are pillars of the community and bring a family oriented feel to the camp. In summary, I can't recommend JP Boxing any higher! If you are a beginner starting at a late stage (36 years old) or an experienced fighter, this place is the best for an authentic Muay Thai experience. To Jay, Ployy, Kru Song Kom, Kru Art, Kru Niniew, all the staff and fellow trainers (and Manny the dog!) thank you for a brilliant and life changing 4 weeks.. see you next year! 🙏🏻
21 days Muay Thai camp
I stayed 21 days in the JP family and had the best experience. I came without boxing knowledge, to learn about Muay Thai, Thai culture and the physical challenge. I found in that place every single thing that I was looking for. All the staff members are lovely and make you feel comfortable on the first second. The trainers are really professional, patient and get you to real improvements in a such small amount of time. About the recovery, rooms are really good, clean and modern, equiped with AC. You can use sauna and ice bath for free and the food is fabulous. You also got gym equipment and local activities organised throughout the week to keep you busy in your free time. I would definitely recommend a stay within the JP Family and look forward to come back as soon as I can 😁
Authentic Muay Thai
I've been training at the gym for nearly two years now. There's plenty of equipment including a full size ring which actually gets used for events. There's also a large padded floor used for practices, many punch and kick bags to practice on, many sets of pads for the instructors to use to train you, wraps gloves and shin guards for students to use, some cardio machines, a cable machine/ Smith machine, set of dumbbells from 2kg up to 15kg, some calisthenics equipment. There's a few miscellaneous items for training like a couple of kettle bells and some tyres. There's also a sauna, yoga room, ice bath. For people staying at the camp there's also a staffed kitchen doing authentic Thai food, but with good nutrition aimed at complementing your training. The trainers are lovely, friendly, happy, funny people. They have loads of knowledge and experience but won't be intimidating. The owner Jay speaks great English because he lived in England years ago. He's also got an impressive professional career as a fighter so loads of knowledge about the art. P.S. there's also two dogs now who will come up and lick you while you're stretching. With the owners very little daughter running around too (she's about 4) it's got a lovely family feel.

Kru Songkom and Kru Art are both highly skilled, patient, and passionate about teaching Muay Thai. They always pay attention to every student individually and truly want everyone to improve, no matter your level. Training with them feels authentic and inspiring, and you can feel how much experience and heart they put into what they do. I also want to thank Jay and Ployy, the owners of the gym, for creating such a beautiful environment and community. They take care of everyone like family and are always willing to help with anything, big or small. Their kindness, hospitality, and attention to detail made my stay here unforgettable. You never feel like “just a customer” here you feel genuinely cared for. The accommodation, training environment, food, and overall experience have all been wonderful. Whether you come here to seriously train, improve your fitness, experience Thai culture, or simply find a healthy and positive environment, this is truly a special place. I’m very grateful for all the memories, the friendships, and the care I received during my stay here. Leaving this place will honestly be difficult because it already feels like home. Training at JP Muay Thai Gym has been one of the highlights of my time in Thailand. I stayed here for over a month and felt welcomed from the very beginning. The gym has an amazing atmosphere where everyone supports and motivates each other. Coach Songkom is an excellent trainer with a lot of experience and passion for Muay Thai. He really focuses on helping each student improve every day. Jay, the owner of the gym, is very friendly, professional, and always makes sure everyone is taken care of properly. Ploy and P are also wonderful people who make the environment feel warm, relaxed, and comfortable like home. What I enjoyed most about JP Muay Thai Gym is that it feels personal and genuine. You are not treated like just another customer you become part of the family. I’m grateful for the experience, the training, and all the memories made here. Highly recommended for anyone wanting authentic Muay Thai training in Thailand.

I had a wonderful experience and only regret not having been able to stay longer. I was a little anxious coming in because I was a total beginner but, thanks to the dedication and patience of the teacher, I learnt rapidly and was able to progress day by day. Everyone at the gym was excitedly kind and accommodating which really made me feel at home. If you want to learn Muay Thay, eat great food and meet wonderful people, look no further than JP boxing. I genuinely can’t recommend them enough.

I’ve just completed an incredible 4 weeks at JP Boxing Gym and I loved it so much that I extended my stay for an extra week, - I simply didn’t want to leave! Great Muay Thai camp in Phitsanulok!!
We had an amazing time at JP!! Me and my mum were well looked after from start to finish by Ploy and the team. We are both first timers training in Muay Thai and my mum was apprehensive to start with but the trainers made us feel at ease and made the sessions really fun with a perfect mix of conditioning and combos focusing on technique. We did the group classes only and it was very sociable and supportive environment. The food was delicious and mars was a lovely host. I particularly enjoyed the run sessions and learning traditional martial arts and sword fighting (made from wood) for more variety and had a great Thai massage and yoga session in between classes. We stayed in the bungalows not far from the gym and was kindly picked up and dropped off for classes when we wanted. The pool at a local hotel is very nice and perfect way to recover for a good price, not busy when we went early. Overall a great family environment, will definitely book again!
