Perfect guided tour
We were lucky to get a tour on short notice with Josip. His flexibility allowed us to have a great evening with a tour to the geysirs and Gullfoss waterfall. Even the road trip was entertaining while filled with interesting information and insights to icelandic life.
Iceland at its best!
On Saturday evening, Josip spontaneously agreed to take us on a trip to the Strokkur geyser and Gullfoss waterfall. It was a very pleasant tour in a very well-maintained Mercedes van. During the ride, he entertained us with his knowledge of the sights and Icelandic customs.
Thomas is amazing!
We hired Thomas to take us on a volcano hike. When he picked us up he suggested we switch gears due to the weather. We followed his lead and we are glad we did!
A day well spent learning about the geology, history, and Icelandic life
We took a private Golden Circle tour with EV Travel and can't recommend them highly enough. Our tour was led by Adrian, who is throughly knowledgeable about the geology and history of the area, conveyed through his excellent narration. Of course, the scenery was spectacular! I especially like standing on the highlands overlooking the rift valley with its deep fissures tearing apart the land. I really enjoyed connecting with Adrian on our shared interests in geology and Viking history. Adrian is very friendly and conversational, and we learned some of his full and interesting life.

We went gletsjerhiking with Thomas and we absolutely loved it! He was very flexible so we started the day earlier and made an additional stop. I always say it makes such a difference if you have a good guide; and Thomas was definitely outstanding! Enthusiastic, knowledgeable and very fun to spend the day with. I would definitely book another tour with Thomas if I’d be visiting Iceland again.
Perfect Reykjavík Tour!
Thomas is a wonderful guide. He is very knowledgeable about the area and he shares this information in a friendly way that makes the day super fun. We enjoyed all of the sites that he took us to see and feel that we had the perfect balance of getting to see a lot of things in a short time, yet not feeling rushed through any of it. I feel he has a gift for really bringing the highlights to life at each spot on the tour.He provided a very comfortable Mercedes-Benz van It was very roomy and had comfortable, adjustable seats, I also appreciated that we were able to get out often, not sitting for a long period since we had just gotten off of a flight. Yet he was able to accommodate Our energy levels and mobility needs. I feel this tour is perfect because he is able to personalize it for each guest, depending on wants and needs.Additionally, we stopped at lunch for lunch at a great restaurant and Thomas was able to tell us more about the local food. I followed his recommendation for the lunch meal and was definitely not disappointed.I can’t wait to come back to Iceland and take another tour with Thomas. I highly recommend his service!

Must book! Thomas is the absolute best tour guide in Iceland. He’s a fun and adventurous guide and makes sure you are having the best time. We did the golden circle tour, glacier hike, black beach tour and water falls. Our vehicle was super luxurious and comfortable!

Private Tour in Rjkevick Iceland with EVTravel.
Private tour for 4 of us. EV Travel and Thomas Warner were recommended to us by a friend of ours in Youngstown, Ohio. He picked us up at the cruise port about 9:15 and we toured (pre planned) until 1:45. He honored my requests for a few bathroom breaks! At our request he dropped us off at a restaurant in Rjkevick instead of the Cruise terminal. Excellent tour! Saw several interesting things within the 4+ hours. Highly recommended
Great experience - highly recommended private tour
The Volcano Exploration and Reykjanes Penisula tour with Thomas was terrific. His knowledge about the country and environment were top notch as was his timing and pacing of the tour. There was a good mix of walking/light hiking with seeing a number of different sites. Walking on the lava field was the highlight of our trip!After doing a larger Golden Circle group tour the day before, we truly appreciated the more personal nature of this tour. And of course, being driven around in a spacious Mercedes electric vehicle - powered by 100% renewably generated electricity - was a pleasure.
This Eco-friendly tour delivers on so many levels
This tour was the perfect full-day family experience, with our generous local guide, Sigfus. From the geothermal power plant to gushing geysers and on to stunning waterfalls. Ancient turf churches, hidden tunnels, and modern stain glass windows. We covered so many beautiful sights. Sigfus is not only knowledgeable about Iceland’s history but is also a talented photographer. He captured some great family photos along the way!The meal at the Fridheimar Tomato Farm was amazing and it was a bonus to finish off the day with ice cream on a dairy farm, while watching the cows feeding in the barn. This tour will tick all the boxes and more!

I cannot begin to express how amazing this company was and the tour they provided. As someone who has taken many private tours in other countries, this is by far the best one. Took us where ever we wanted to, and recommended places that were worth our time and not just the marketing gimmick stops. The history and information he provided made each stop meaningful, and provided us background prior to the stop. Although we were only here for about 3 days, Thomas felt like our best friend by the end of it and made leaving to the airport a bittersweet moment. Felt 100% safe the whole time and Thomas discarded any fear we had, coming to a new country, with his local experience and expertise. If you're looking for the adventure of a lifetime, this company and guide will create moments and experiences you didn't even know were possible. I would immediately return to this country, solely because of this company and Thomas!
HIRE THOMAS AT EV TRAVEL FOR (AT LEAST) A FULL DAY TOUR & DON'T MISS FLYOVER ICELAND.
Thomas of EV Travel took us on a full day private eco tour the next to last Saturday in June 2025. He picked us up at 9:00 at our hotel (Reykjavik Edition) and asked if we would like to visit the geothermal exhibition which was first up on the list. It is just outside of Reykjavik and we agreed that we would like to see it. (He clearly gives options of whatever you might like to do among his various itinerary items. He was very knowledgeable and explained all aspects of the geothermal plant to us. He actually gave us a lot of information about Iceland during our day with him as well.) From the geothermal plant we visited two churches that are side by side in the first capital of Iceland (whose name I can't remember). One church was clearly very old and it was covered in mud and grass for warmth. It was surprisingly clean and modern looking inside. The other was a traditional church where someone happened to be playing the organ when we stepped inside, which was a nice plus. We also visited the Kerid crater and could have hiked around or down into it but, we are in our late 70's and opted to just view it from the top. We had a delicious cheese platter and tomato soup lunch (and treated Thomas to lunch with us as well). Lunch was at a sustainable farm where they grew the tomatoes on giant vines that were planted in very compact containers inside large greenhouses. We likewise viewed the Gullfoss waterfall, but could have taken a trail to a closer view of the waterfall had we wished. Thomas does not rush to get through the day and in fact as we drove back into the city, he asked if there was anywhere we needed to stop before he dropped us back at our hotel. He is a delightful guide and really knows Iceland. He has a beautiful black EV Mercedes that is quite comfortable. At lunch we learned a bit about his many travels. He is trim and clearly is an outdoorsman. He could take anyone on a more challenging day, but this was just what the doctor ordered for my husband and me. We felt we saw what we came to see in Iceland. One other note - don't miss Flyover Iceland. It is surprisingly AMAZING and I, personally, am afraid of heights but this wasn't scarry. It was just beautiful! SO, IF YOU GO TO ICELAND, HIRE THOMAS AT EV TRAVEL FOR AT LEAST A DAY AND GO SEE FLYOVER ICELAND.

Excellent Golden Circle experience with a personal touch
Thomas was a wonderful guide and host. Prior to the trip he was very communicative and responded quickly to any questions. On the day of the trip, Thomas was on time to pick us up, the vehicle was clean and comfortable and was stocked with water and light snacks which was appreciated. Thomas was very knowledgeable and provided helpful information about Icelandic culture, geography, history, etc. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to cover a lot of ground and learn about Iceland.
Golden Circle tour with Thomas!
Thomas was very communicative from the moment we booked the tour. He was personable, informative, and passionate about all of the sights we visited on our Golden Circle trip. The van was comfy and fully loaded with water, blankets, walking sticks, and special Icelandic treats! Definitely recommend booking this tour!!

Amazing experience
We spent two days with Thomas travelling around and seeing some amazing sights! This is my third time in Iceland and Thomas was the best guide I have ever had - highly recommend booking with him to anyone coming to Iceland!! The itineraries are very flexible and you get a chance to see so many beautiful sights, hidden spots and experience some amazing activities.
