I had a door installed here recently. The install itself seemed fine, but I noticed about 5 dents on the door shortly after picking the car up that I'm confident wasn't there beforehand. I reached out to the shop about it, and they told me it was pre-existing. I understand things can be hard to verify after the fact, but I do have a photo of the door taken a few days before the install where this area appears clean. I'm not trying to make a huge issue out of it, but it was disappointing to run into this situation and not have it acknowledged. I'd recommend others take detailed photos of their car before leaving it with any shop, just in case. Overall, just something to be aware of.
Quick note since replies are off. The door wasn't painted here, and I wasn't told that outside parts wouldn't be installed. After getting the car back, I noticed multiple dents on the door and reached out the next day, but it was immediately dismissed as pre-existing. I understand the door was a used part, but I also have a photo from just a few days before showing that area clean. That's why this is frustrating. It's not about trying to get something for free, it's just about the accountability. When you drop your car off you expect its condition to be the same as it was when you left it or better. I honestly thought I'd be coming back here for future work, but after this experience I can't really recommend it.

Hi Ethan,
We appreciate your feedback, but we do need to clarify a few important details.
The door installed on your vehicle was a used part that you sourced and provided. Our work was strictly limited to paint only, and no bodywork or dent repair was requested or authorized.
At the time of pickup, the vehicle was reviewed with you and you expressed satisfaction with the color match and overall finish. Any dents present on the door were part of the condition of the used component prior to our work.
We cannot assume responsibility for pre-existing damage on customer-supplied parts. This type of situation is exactly why we no longer accept outside parts, as it creates uncertainty regarding prior condition.
If you would like assistance repairing the dents, we’re happy to help and can go over options with you.
