A very good stay at the First Backpack Hotel, with a very helpful and welcoming staff. A special mention goes to Lili, who assisted me when my checked luggage went missing during my transfers; she offered excellent advice and was always available to help. It was a pleasure getting to know her—she’s a truly wonderful person.

We showed up needing a last minute northern lights tour and the staff made it happen on the spot. That kind of helpfulness sets the tone for the whole place. The rooms and showers are well kept, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the price is hard to beat for Tromsø. Honestly not sure why the ratings aren’t higher. Would stay again without hesitation.

A small but cozy place. ☺The staff were excellent, their attention and service were the best part. The common areas were perfect to cook, relax and eat. ☹The TV didn't work, the Wi-Fi didn't reach the room.
