Had Energie Solutions at my property to carry out my annual service . They have also added the glycol into my system . The local company I had been using for several years supposedly topped my system on each visit - this turns out to be completely untrue. The engineer who did the service explained why this should be done and how long it will take to flush it in properly as he described "it's not the same as topping up the screen wash on the car!!". I have a mixture of underfloor heating and radiators upstairs so they were here for 4hours+. It was expensive but I did my own research and the chemicals are nearly ÂŁ200 and I needed 4 tubs to get the right concentration!! My warning is to others with heat pumps , the glycol doesn't need topping up on every service , unless you have a leak so I understand now it's not going to be part of a standard annual service. Massive thanks to Alfie and Lewis for a fantastic job well done - looking forward to seeing you again next year and for many years to come!!

I have also carried out my own researxh since their service and now realise thatthe chemicals are so expensive to buy and i needed 4 large tubs. Im so annoyed that the original company had been fleecing me and jeopordising my warrenty. Finally i have found a company willing to do a job properly. Word of warning to anyone who is having their system topped up at the service for free or a few hundred quid, they most certainly are not! I look forward to using energie solutions again. Thankyou
Hi Robert! We are glad you found us too! Sadly there are so many companies carrying out work that ultimately is invalidating homeowners warranties. We try to explain this to potential customers but sadly many people will buy only on price not understanding that the glycol is ridicously expensive and can be very time consuming to flush into the heating system (properly!). If a company is offering to carry out work hundreds cheaper than us then they probably are the kind of company you shouldn't use. But anyway you don't have to worry about that! best wishes

I had an issue with the underfloor heating in my house (running off a heat pump) after moving into a new build last summer. I contacted a few other places in London first but nobody could help, so I was really relieved to find Energie Solutions.

Engineer came to service heat pump, drove a good distance from Essex to Bedfordshire, and was helpful with questions and sharing his knowledge, friendly, demonstrative with issues, and generally a great person.

I called Energie Solutions Ltd as my air source heat pump wasn't working after turning on the heating after the summer. I called late on a Friday and someone got back to me early on the Monday. They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable over the phone and very understanding of my urgency. Even though they couldn't send an engineer out for a week, they very kindly shared a helpful video to see if we could get it working ourselves in the meantime. Thankfully we were able to fix it with the video and learnt something new about our heat pump! I'll definitely be using their services in the future.

We have an LG heatpump which was installed on a new build house we purchased. The house is 3 years old and we have had no end of problems with the house and heating system. The development company are completely useless, the original installers clearly don’t know what they are doing and keep saying that there is nothing wrong. We have also had another company involved that agreed it looked like something was wrong but didn’t come back to fix it for us. Then two weeks ago we called Energie solutions and thank goodness we did! One of their engineers visited and within 30 mins knew what the problem was. They were back a few days later with the new pcb board. They provided me with a list of things that don’t meet current regulations which I will be taking to the builder. I am hoping one of their service plans now and have told all our neighbours, it turns out we are not the only ones having issues! Thank you so much. Kirst & James

I wish I had looked at some of the negative reviews, before I agreed to let them service my solar set up. I was contacted unsolicited, with the offer of a discount as they were going to be in the area. My solar thermal systems were all working fine and not long ago serviced, so was shocked that the engineer diagnosed so many problems and decided, without asking, to decommission the system - pending a job card and remedial work quote. Was then quoted ÂŁ2300 to fix. Managed to get a second opinion from a reputable company who physically showed me that my cold water tanks were fine, and that the fluid was fine (and just needed some air removed). At a quarter of the price, I was back up and running, albeit having lost a month of usage at the peak of summer. After complaining, Energie Solutions did investigate (and did communicate), but stood by their diagnosis and did not offer any type of refund. The icing on the cake was trying to encourage me not to leave a Google review! Clearly, this company has some good reviews, so if you're considering them, I'd just suggest you just get multiple quotes (including follow up rates) and opinions before proceeding.
Thank you for your valued feedback, and probably the most positive, balanced 1 star review I have ever read on the internet. It is a shame that your initial communication came across as an old fashioned “shake down”, when you essentially wrote “give me my money back or I’ll leave a negative review”
As you have pointed out so kindly, we do have many positive Google reviews when dealing with all types of renewable energy systems. Additionally, you also mentioned we did engage with you at great length (over several weeks) to discuss the engineers findings, and explain our approach and rationale behind the works prescribed for both your solar thermal systems. Surely, in a world of contact forms and chat bots this represents excellent customer service. Unfortunately, the outcome of these discussions simply came down to the fact that we were unable to align our opinions.
I am in total agreement with your advice; get multiple quotes but make sure you speak with each company to get a full understanding of not only what is included, but why and what are the alternatives. Ensuring you are comparing like with like and not a short term cheaper quick fix v’s a considered, planned long term solution, that is warranted and therefore will always be more expensive initially but cheaper in the long run. This was the essence of my contribution to Mars Mlodzinski’s book the Ultimate Guide To Heatpumps https://lnkd.in/ec_nRc4p which I recently featured in or look at the review left by Carol Scarfe on our review page.
No genuine company wants genuine bad reviews, especially when ultimately all Energie Solutions have done is to offer a professional and ethically responsible service throughout your customer journey by:-
- Providing a detailed quotation, that was accepted at arm’s length.
- Having provided this service, we sent a detailed report of our findings and further advice to enable an informed decision to be made.
- Responded in an efficient and professional manner to your requests for further information
- It was then left to you to decide whether you wanted to accept this advice or not.

I see this as no different to having your car serviced at a main dealer and then going to an independent garage to have the works completed.

After several failed attempts by another company to fix our solar system, we called Energie Solutions who had diagnosed the problem within ten minutes and repaired it the same day.
Jordan was extremely polite and tidy. He kept us informed of what he was doing throughout the process.

Without prejudice. I contacted Energie solutions for a service quotation on my Solar panels, and Solar PV, They provided quote for ÂŁ162.75 twice plus VAT total of ÂŁ294 .00 Payable up front.
When they came Two people went around taking pictures of everything. I advised there was a small leak on one of the valves. they attempted to sort it then advised they didn't have the correct spanner. sent me my report having done nothing in the way of a service . and the leak worse than when they came. they said they would provide me a quotation for remedial works.
which duly came to drain the system down new pump if it was needed, nothing about fixing the leak.
price ÂŁ919.26 including VAT 5% .
at the time they were here i asked how long it would take advised 2.3 hours. I phoned to ask why it was so expensive and nothing about fixing the leak.
and was told that's the charge best price.
the moral here be sure what your getting for the quote and shop around.
I have had the Leak repaired and a full system drain and refilled for half that price.
I understand how it may have worked for others but unfortunately it didn't for us.

Firstly, may I take this opportunity to apologise for the delay in responding, I have been on annual leave for the past 2 weeks and as co-owner of Energie Solutions I am responsible for responding to all feedback received from customers.
Whilst I take on board your comments, I would contest the point that states “sent me my report having done nothing in the way of a service”. A review of the tracked vehicle shows you had 2 engineers at your property for nearly 2 hours (total 4 man hours) and a comprehensive 15-page service report detailing the engineers findings and recommendations – which on review, reflects all of the points detailed on the written quotation you had received and accepted prior to the commencement of the job.
With regards to the remedial quote, I believe there has been some miss-understanding:- as the nature of the works quoted would require 2 engineers to attend, and they would be on site for a minimum of 4-5 hours - more in the event of the system being particularly dirty which I believe yours was.
As part of any quote we provide, it is very difficult to include every aspect of what’s included in terms of the qualifications, training, conscientiousness of engineers and office staff, the warranties offered and our commitment to good customer service, the list is exhaustive.
Whilst your feedback represents an opportunity to review and improve what we do include, the fact that we provide detailed written quotations enables our customers to make an informed decision and exercise their right to choose one provider over another which you have done in this instance. I am sure you would not leave a 1 star review on the Waitrose website because their white loaf of bread was more expensive than Lidl.
