Majorly Expensive
Our A/C stopped (threw a breaker, which it’s done before). One of their technicians came out. He threw the breaker and it immediately tripped again. Then I watched him pull and replace wires in the outside unit. When he threw the breaker switch again I heard a troubling “fruummp!” Now, I’m not saying he did anything wrong, but the sound was definitely different as he proceeded to say, “Your compressor is locked and it’ll cost you about as much to replace as getting a whole new system.”
“How much is a new system?” I asked

I asked him for a detailed estimate for repair-only, which he said he’d be happy to do. After sitting in front of my house for 40 minutes, he finally sends me an estimate that doesn’t give any pricing detail – just a ‘total’ of $16,000.
After taking all of the cash I had on me for the diagnostic fee, he says, “If you change your mind, I’ll be outside for a while.” Then he sat in front of my house for another 40 minutes – I guess hoping I’d come rushing out drenched in sweat saying I’d pay anything, just fix or (preferably) replace it.
Now, every friend and family member I have on Facebook claims that the prices he quoted are insane. A church friend said he had his entire A/C system replaced not too long ago for $8,000. A coworker also told me that in 2018 he had his system replaced (two-story home, same square footage) also for $8,000.
I do not trust this company. I will not ever be calling them again.

All about money, not genuinely putting the customer first. Make no mistake, this company cares about money above solving any urgent customer issues. They have lots of bureaucracy preventing from timely work to resolve customer challenges. I literally had a service technician walk away when the unit drainage was clogged and he could have fixed it on the spot. I was overcharged for a brand new unit from them and all they care about is charging for services that should not be necessary on brand new equipment. All about money, not genuinely putting the customer first.

Update: it’s been almost 24 months since we bought our HVAC which means we’re getting close to the end of the warranty. We had so many issues last year as outlined in the review below. It’s 93 in February and MY HVAC IS NOT WORKING AGAIN! New unit, pumping like crazy to get the house below 72. Posted the noise for fun since I can’t get a response from radiant. Something is wrong with this company, their support and their oversight. We used ABC (as others have mentioned in their posts) for our $14000 duplex ac unit and have had zero issues. Definitely go with the competition on this one *****
Do your homework. Radiant May have the best ads but they’re a shot in the dark with service. Radiant installed our AC wrong last year, had to come back 3x to fix things (including not passing inspection) before realizing that they never installed the second tier of our premium unit. In all, we paid more for a unit we got nothing from and in the last year for electric with our “radiant energy saving unit”
Than our 16 year old unit.
We went with radiant because they’re “the best”. Our final 3 technicians were great- identified and fixed the issue but it took a year to get there. Their scheduling team was hard to work with, and no one ever apologized or took responsibility for installing our unit wrong. I understand mistakes but take responsibility and make it right quickly. I don’t want to be an hvac expert but if you go with radiant, be prepared to identify issues with their work.

Amazing service. Friendly, professional, and honest. Had a different company come at first, they charged me a small fortune to not resolve the issue. First company then provided me a higher quote to 'actually resolve.' I had enough of them and called Radiant. Best decision ever. They fixed the problem, charged me less, and did a bit of preventive maintenance on top. Shout out to Alexis L. and Brett S. You two are fantastic. Thanks!

Total rip off!!! Called this company for a simple valve change for the valve behind the fridge (ice maker line) that needed replacement. I thought 100-150$ job so didn’t even think of asking for a quote- how Much does a silly valve cost that any average person can change themselves. They charged $465 for less than an hour of work. It wasn’t leaking, just wasn’t closing properly. Never again. People, please post the cost of your work so others know what to expect. I assumed bc ratings were good that means price are good too but $465 for less than an hour work is a rip off!!

We had a cleaning crew come in and they managed to disable part of the shower - after two “plumbers” came in and said it would have to be replaced Radiant came by and had it fixed in less the 30 minutes!
Well priced - smart - courteous and we’ll equipped - I highly recommend them

These guys were friendly, professional, timely, informative, thorough, and even funny/good conversationalists. I appreciated the extremely fast response to my (overnight) request for service, even though the matter wasn’t particularly urgent. Noah is absolutely the kind of person you’d want representing your company in the field! Been through several companies in the past few years for house renovations and other issues -wish I had found them sooner!
