Woke up with a major headache and tooth ache. And needed a root canal. They were able to get me in within a couple hours of calling. And Adam and Dr Lee did great. Friendly and made sure you feel comfortable the entire time. Definitely recommend

I had a crown pop off while flossing to reveal a decayed tooth underneath. There was no tooth left to salvage and it had to be extracted with a bone graft.
I went to another emergency dentist first who was so impersonal and cold. We decided to get a second opinion.
While this office was more expensive than the first, I appreciated that they are open all week long, in case of a complication, as opposed to the other dentist who was only open Sat/Sun. I also really loved the office team, Abi and Dr. Fife. Dr. Fife is so personable, explains things and made me feel that I was in very good hands. He also offered to provide a discount and sedation to help the price, as I don’t have dental insurance.
Post op:
As for after the extraction I do feel satisfied with the care, though the instructions could have been a little better to help people understand what to expect.
- I wasn’t given a gauze to bite down on, so I left bleeding a lot into my mouth. I learned online to moisten a 4x4 of gauze and bite it for 30-60 min. The office did give me gauze for home use, but didn’t put any in after the procedure. Not sure if that was intentional to help a blood clot form, but something to tell future patients.
-I didn’t realize there was a cotton dressing stitched into place. The sutures and covering started to slough off on day 2. Everywhere I looked online said this could be a collagen membrane to keep the bone graft in place, and that it should last for about 2 weeks so I was very concerned. I was also in a ton of pain. Luckily, because this office is open all week, they were able to get me in free of charge to take a look. They said everything looked great, and removed the stitches which were digging into my tongue and causing pain. They also gave me stronger pain meds which really helped my recovery.
- I had a hard time figuring out when they were open. It said online and on their website that they are closed Wednesday/Thursday but the corporate office said they’re only closed on Wednesdays. Also the post op instructions had a number to talk to an on after hours provider but that service was no longer available when I called.
- Lastly, I do think post op instructions should be printed and explained with the patient and their partner/caregiver before discharge. I had to log into the portal and resign the consents in order to get you the instructions each time. I also read in there not to rinse for the first 24 hours, but because there was so much blood in my mouth I went home and rinsed immediately. Had someone printed these out and gone over them with me, I would have felt much more prepared.
I just had my 2 week post op appt and everything is healing very well. I am very happy with my care, just a few logistical things to look into!

Root canal that took 5+ hours. Had to come back multiple times for the crown. The crown then fell out 3 months later.
Only came here cause it was a Saturday and I was leaving town on Sunday. I would have been better off waiting.
They also tried to get me to do 2 other root canals, which my new dentist said were only cavities. Makes me wonder if the initial root canal was even needed.
