We had a lovely weekend stay at Thomas’ place! The house was gorgeous and the children especially loved the treehouse style bunk bed. The garden space was lovely - would be amazing in the summer! Everything felt clean and comfortable. We’d definitely love to return at some point!

Will not use Effective Stays again I will not book an Effective Stays property again, no issue with the property, just with Effective Stays. After making a non-refundable payment I was forced to go through an identity verification process involving sharing my passport and taking a photo of myself, providing them with valuable personal data. Then I either had to buy damage waiver insurance or pay them £5 to let them authorise a £250 deposit. I have been a booking.com member for over 10 years, that should demonstrate my trustworthiness. As a minor point, despite constant messages and texts badgering me to do the identification process they ignored my request to check-in an hour early, and the postcode of the property did not exist.

Overall an enjoyable stay which met our needs. ☺ Great location. A 10 minutes brisk walk to the railway station and into town centre. Clean and equipped well. Two dedicated parking spaces. Easy access. Excellent communication with the owner/agent. ☹ The property did get cold and the radiator covers blocked the heat. Bed mattresses and pillows comfortable but the quilts were thin and there were no additional blankets.

We really enjoyed our visit to Shrewsbury and the house is just an easy short stroll to the town centre. Bedrooms are all very roomy and comfortable with all but one having an ensuite. There is a cosy little sitting room upstairs; downstairs the kitchen table seats 8 which was enough for us but a larger group would have to eat in instalments. Communication with the host company was great, would recommend

This was the perfect spot for visiting with family. We had great quality time while being able to visit local restaurants and markets. We were able to host our family and cook big meals - the kitchen had all the cooking essentials.

We had a magnificent stay at this gorgeous house. Beautifully furnished and spacious with lots of liveable room. A great spot to explore Chester or enjoy nights in with friends. Comfy beds, lovely bathrooms and a communal space to snuggle up. A real find and we will be back!

The house is only a short walk to the centre of town but is on a busy road. Parking is quite limited and tight (as stated on the description) The kitchen was clean and well equipped and the beds very comfortable. You could hear noise from next door through the walls very easily.
