Ricky did a great job couldn’t of asked for a better and more knowledgeable tech.The only reason I didn’t give 5stars was because of the office I had to call for a week to get someone to call me back and put me on the schedule.

Mike was great! He explained the recommended fix for my AC unit, the estimated cost and asked if I was good with the estimate. Once work was completed, he explained everything thoroughly. So pleased with the service. Called due to a leak in our ceiling on a Sunday. Did everything he could to find the leak without tearing out the ceiling in our newly finished kitchen. Unfortunately, he did have to cut a small portion, but was very limited to fix the issue. Turns out our drywaller screwed through the pipe. Fixed it very quickly with minimal damage. Greatly appreciate the quick work on a weekend.

Avoid Ed Rike at all costs. My experience was a textbook example of poor communication, questionable ethics, and deeply unprofessional service — all during a heat wave.
I originally called them because their website advertised free estimates, and I needed help with my A/C. I was told to call early on the day of service to get a time. Instead, I got vague responses, repeated delays, and had to follow up myself. The technician didn’t arrive until nearly 7 hours later, never introduced himself, and from that point, things spiraled.
Despite my air working (albeit suboptimally), I was told my blower motor needed replaced. I was quoted $430 — no mention of additional labor fees — and agreed. After installing it, the technician said he could get either the A/C or the blower to run, but not both. He openly admitted he didn’t know what was wrong, had been shocked several times, and if it happened again, he’d “call it a day.” Eventually, he said my sequencer was also bad, but didn’t have the part, couldn’t order it until Monday, didn’t know how much it would cost, and couldn’t say when he’d be back. He also said I would have to call an electrician out to fix whatever was causing him to shock himself prior to his return.
At this point, I had no working A/C at all and was asked to sign an invoice for nearly $900 — more than double what I was quoted, for leaving me in worse shape than I started. I was stunned. The technician casually dropped that they charge $120/hour in labor, which was never disclosed up front.
When I called to speak to a manager the next day, I was promised a callback that never came. I had to bring in another company, who showed up same day, immediately found that Ed Rike had installed the blower motor backward, used the wrong voltage, and wired it incorrectly — causing it to overheat and burn out the sequencer. Their technician's incompetence literally destroyed another part of my system, and I had to suffer through three days of 80+ degree heat inside my home, worried sick about my dog’s health and how I’d pay for the damage they caused.
Let me be clear:
There are no real “free estimates” unless you explicitly call and ask for one
The communication is disorganized and unreliable
Their technician left my system more broken than he found it
And I was pressured to pay nearly $900 for that damage
The only silver lining? After multiple phone calls and complaints, they agreed not to charge me — likely because they knew they were in the wrong.
Bottom line: This company misleads customers, fails to deliver competent service, and only responds when cornered. You deserve better.
