I did two tours with Eco Adventures Puerto Escondido — Dolphin Watching with Antonio and the Chacahua Sunset Experience with Juan. Both experiences were memorable. With Antonio, the dolphin tour was smooth, respectful with nature and truly magical — seeing them swimming freely was unforgettable. Juan, in Chacahua, guided us calmly and with great energy, creating a relaxed and beautiful day for our small group. Professional team, good organization and very warm guides. I definitely recommend them.

Such a great tour. Friendly staff; super knowledgeable and accommodating ♥️ will definitely book again on my next trip to puerto escondido. If you book a tour they pick you up from your hotel (if you are within the area) and take you back so no need to worry about transportation.

This adventure was both exciting and blissful at the same time. The night sky was dark and we floated in luminescent waters - every movement creating sparkling stars of light along our bodies while we looked up and saw shooting stars in the sky! The ‘floating tents’ are genius- allowing for the full effect bc they block out all ambient light. In photos, all the light you see is from the luminescence not a flash! The water is warm and life jackets allow serene floating. Our guide, Juan, speaks perfect English and was a great representative of the company. He took care to make sure I felt included in all that was going on. When we returned to the van he introduced me to peanut water - sold by a vendor near the entrance- who also makes the best horchata I ever tasted. They pick you up and drop you off at your door. I would love to do some of their other tours. Other companies are not as highly rated as this one and I see why. Exceptional service.

Perfect wildlife encounter on the water! Our captain and guide were professional, informative, and very friendly. The wildlife sightings were amazing, including dolphins, whales, rays and sea turtles. It was a perfect outing all around!

We did the Pacific Snorkeling Adventure and the Bioluminescence Lagoon. Both were great - fun ways to explore and learn more about the area. One extra nice thing about snorkeling was that we went to places that didn't have other boats, and spent a little time finding dolphins, which were magical. Our guide, Antonio, was fantastic and a local who was able to tell us a lot about the area, and both boat captains (Chente and Sebastian) were knowledgeable and friendly.

The sunset beach horse riding was one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever done! Antonio and Raul made the experience so seamless. The horses are a 45 minute drive out of Zicatela in Puerto however this is so worth it. We had 4 hours of uninterrupted horse riding with river crossings and also the chance to watch the sunset on a remote beach with drinks. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Puerto and who enjoys horse riding.

I was very disappointed with the dolphin tour. The boats were far too close to the wildlife. For example, when we spotted a whale there were at least 25 boats surrounding it on both sides. Dolphins were basically dodging our boat as we chased them around, and we almost hit a dolphin in the process of racing towards some other boats. We also surrounded two mating turtles with at least 4 other boats, and in the process our boat and another boat almost ran into them. The guides themselves were lovely. However these companies seem to want to provide as many sightings as possible, rather than more natural encounters at a respectful distance. It was very upsetting to witness, and I should have done more research before booking this tour. I hope stricter regulations are put in place as soon as possible for the safety and wellbeing of these animals we love.

We did two trips with Eco Adventures in October 2025. Both guided by Juan, a lovely, friendly and knowledgeable guide who is passionate about nature. We did the birdwatching boat tour which was on a beautiful lagoon with Juan and also 'Captain Juan' - the boat captain. We saw so many birds - heron, osprey, storks, pelicans, rosate spoonbills, hawks and eagles, and many more. And the scenery was beautiful. You don't need to be into birdwatching to enjoy this trip! Two days later we went Escobilla beach to see Olive Ridley turtles hatching and trying to make it to the sea, thousands of them! We saw the dangers they face - crocodiles, birds, heat and then fish waiting in the sea And we watched Juan and one of the tortugueros saving female adult turtles trapped in a lagoon to help them to reach the sea the sea. This was an inspiring and fantastic day. Thank you to Juan and eco adventures for two truly memorable days. Simon and Karen (London)

Amazing tour through different beautiful nature scenes, rivers and by the beach. Calm horses that fit different levels in the group 🐎 Make sure to ask and remind about helmets if you want that since they unfortunately forgot that. Takes you back and forth to Puerto Escondido smoothly in a AC car. And tips + drinks/snacks is not included in the price, so bring extra cash. Recommend!

Padrísima experiencia, no solo tuvimos la oportunidad de ver tortugas en su hábitat natural sino de conocer sobre ellas gracias a Juan, quien siendo biólogo nos pudo explicar muchas cosas muy interesantes. Fui a Puerto Escondido a ver tortugas y lo logré gracias a ellos!
