This was not a good experience. They moved me Oct. 2025. How do you move a book case and forget the shelves? Why would you unplug and pack a television and leave the cord? When the two men arrived, one of the men said something in a foreign language and didn't know that I heard him. When I asked him what he said, he looked like a deer in the headlights. They did not speak english, which was concerning to me and they haphazardly packed my things. I showed them the room where everything was to be moved. How come when I checked on them, half of the things were thrown in a room of things that were to be thrown out? I had to go through the things I spent hours sorting. Then to make matters worse, they left things out in the driveway that I had to take back inside. I DO NOT RECOMMEND DUMBO

The three movers who arrived were kind, quick, and efficient. Everything was delivered intact, and there were absolutely no damages.
I especially want to commend Kyle, who was great to work with and accommodating every step of the way.

I want to add my good experience with Dumbo Moving. I was pretty nervous because there were a lot of negative 1-star reviews. While there are a lot of negative reviews on Yelp, there are a lot of positive reviews on Google (4.5 stars). I realize that it's a coin toss on the team that you get and I happily got a great team. Johnny was helpful in answering all my questions. I was a little over the top in trying to cover all my bases because of the negative reviews. He was patient and answered all my questions. On the day of my move the movers were supposed to come at 8:00 and when I went outside early to open up the double doors to my building, the guys were already there. The foreman was fantastic. Nika Shvangiradze and Crew #70 worked hard. We had a lot of stuff and it was an all day move including a drive from Queens to outside Philadelphia. It was a solid all day move. They started at 8 and finished right before 6. I will request this team again (unless they see my name and start running the other way) for the 2nd half of my move. Thank you Dumbo Movers.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a moving company, I would've had a better experience if I found random people on the street. My move was scheduled for 11:30am, the first set of movers showed up on time. They sent two movers that didn't speak English, with a small van to move a king size bed, a 6 seater sectional, a large mirror, a 6 door dresser, 2 night stands, several bags, and 2 tv's and 4 pics. I requested someone that could speak English, they felt like I was being unreasonable. After going back and forth and threatening to cancel the move they sent two more movers. They sent me the most inexperienced movers they had, this must've been their first move. I moved 2 minutes away, it took them 10 hours to move 10 items. They broke my tv, lost my key fob, stopped for a lunch break. I didn't finish getting in my new apartment until 3am and I had to work the next day at 7am. I had to pay double for my u-haul that I rented to move the smaller items. I have never been so stressed out about a move in all my life. I called the manager several times Matt who was avoiding me like the plaque; I was given excuse after excuse and even told me that a move of my size takes 5-6hours, which is ridiculous. I would never use or recommend them again. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dumbo Moving provided exceptional service! They were very punctual and arrived exactly at the time they said they would. The movers were very professional and handled all my furniture with extreme care. Their prices are also very fair. This is my 2nd time using them and definitely won't be the last.

Beware of Dumbo Moving and Storage.
Our movers started out the day by demanding hundreds of dollars in cash payments to move our things after we had already prepaid for the move.
Then, I specifically asked the team to take extra caution while handling a burl wood and acrylic credenza as it's by far the most expensive piece in our home. We trusted that Dumbo Moving would do everything necessary to keep it safe.
Upon move-in, the siding of the credenza had deep scratches and a chip taken off of one of its corners. While I understand incidents can happen (they also made quite a few dark scuff marks on our white couch), this one was extremely disappointing as we purchased the piece for over $3000.
A couple days later after unpacking everything, we realized that our LG OLED TV had been mechanically damaged in the moving process and would no longer turn on. We were forced to replace our TV (after a repairman said he was not able to fix it).
That was what I THOUGHT was the last straw for us. But it got even worse from here. We realized that hundreds of dollars worth of items of ours had been STOLEN out of our moving bins, including sentimental items.
New Yorkers -- needless to say -- please stay away from Dumbo Moving. We really wish we had gone with Piece of Cake or Clean Cut, whom we've had seamless experiences with during past moves, instead. This company and its workers are nothing short of corrupt.

Awful, awful experience. Had to follow up many times to get a quote and then again to settle on a date and time. They assured me they had a smooth operation and that my move would be painless but was a giant pain. I told them in advance that the dresser that needed to be moved was very heavy and then after I reminded them they upped the charge substantially. Even worse, they sent me a bill to be paid in advance and I paid it, then they upped the price like I said and sent me another bill for the entire price instead of the difference between the first and final quote. I had to follow up multiple times to get a bill for only the difference. Then I paid it, and the date of the move they called me saying I hadn't paid it and sent it to me again. I had no choice but to pay it a second time and then, of course, I had to pester them to get a refund for the double charge. And to add insult to injury during the move they destroyed a picture frame that was on the wall. I got a small refund for the destroyed item but of course only after a lot of back and forth. You can definitely find better movers.

I'd like to rescind my prior review. Dumbo is a TERRIBLE moving company. I have moved 5 out of the last 6 years and all except this one have been through piece of cake. and I've never had an issue with them. due to availability and pricing I gave Dumbo a chance. in my 5 moves with a moving company I've never had my thing go missing let alone this many things. This crew came in like they owned the place. The leader took my charger to charge his phone without my permission and now it's missing. I didn't make a big deal about because it's a charger but nonetheless he took it a denied it. He took a shit in my bathroom again without my permission and left a terrible odor. They stop my ray ban meta sunglasses that was on my dresser. No where to be found now. I'm missing very specific designer clothes that I know I had. I will never use this company again and will never recommend it. As a fellow business owner, this company should be ashamed of its employee. I'm reading some of these reviews and there is an evident trend that you guys have done nothing about.

At the end of the email that they send you it says they require 100% prepayment of the move. I paid the deposit but refused to prepay 100% but instead offered to leave a credit card on file that they also require. They canceled the move and decided to keep the deposit. Crooks! Stay away.
