Lisbon inspired!
This is an activity I’ve actually lead professionally in another European capital for decades as an US art school faculty member and I can testify that Natercia has her craft down-pat! Her breadth of knowledge of the city is impressive and I appreciated her constant attention to satisfying my specific interests about Lisbon, its culture, its history and the different environments we traversed while drawing. An experience not to be missed if you love to draw and want to see the city from a whole different light. Highly recommended.
ABSOLUTE 5-STARS! 🚀
Natercia is the insider's insider 😊, knowing exactly which art spots to hit and which hidden gems to sneak in. She's been a perfect guide for our Bridgewater State University, Massachusetts art students, immersing them in Lisbon's vibrant art scene. Over eight years, she's worked with me and my groups in multiple capacities, providing valuable insights and support. The watercolor program she offers sounds like a great addition, letting visitors create postcards and memories with guidance from a professional artist and Lisbon native. Literally, teaching others HOW to see and experience Lisbon. Students have connected with her on cultural, artistic, and logistical levels, appreciating her resourcefulness beyond the study abroad experiences. One of the highlights was to match an art opening in one evening visit to the “open museum night”. We would have missed it if it wasn’t for her ear to the ground. It was fantastic.
An unforgettable experience
My experience on this private half-day tour of Sintra and Cascais was simply wonderful and exceeded all expectations. From the beginning, the organization was impeccable, with punctuality, comfort and an extremely attentive service.Sintra is charming in every way: stunning landscapes, romantic climate and a historic wealth that impresses every stop. It was possible to enjoy the place with peace, absorbing the natural and cultural beauty without rush, which made all the difference in the experience.Cascais, in turn, is a real charm on the edge of the Atlantic. The combination of coastline, architecture and welcoming atmosphere makes the tour even more special. The views are amazing and render unique moments of contemplation. The guide demonstrated extensive knowledge, cordiality and care in every detail, making the tour even more pleasant, especially for those travelling alone. The script was very well planned, perfectly balancing history, landscapes and free time.I highly recommend this tour to those who want to know the best of Sintra and Cascais with comfort, safety and a truly memorable experience. No doubt, one of the highlights of my trip to Portugal.

Great full day tour, highly recommended!
We had a really wonderful day, despite the rainy weather. Our guide, Rui, was very knowledgeable and took great care of us. His car was roomy and very comfortable. He took care of all the tickets and was very familiar with everywhere we visited, providing interesting history and stories as we moved from location to location. He also knew the best spots for photos, so we ended up with some fantastic photos as memories. We enjoyed a delicious pastry break in the morning, and he dropped us off for lunch at a wonderful restaurant for lunch where we appeared to be the only tourists (exactly the kind of place you want to enjoy lunch, imho!). The weather was very challenging, but he managed to show us some beautiful seaside spots before the end of the day. Highly highly recommended!
Completely unique artistic insider experience with a talented Lisbonite
This was the most amazing experience I’ve had as a traveler. Natercia is the real deal: an internationally exhibited artist with an incredibly supportive and down-to-earth style. I have almost no visual art experience, but Natercia made me feel like a peer. And we had so much fun!! I haven’t laughed so much in a long time. A native Lisbonite, Natercia also knows the city like the back of her hand. I felt like a total insider, being shepherded around by one of the city’s most talented artists — and I learned so much about Portugal and the Portuguese in the process. This is a completely unique experience — I very highly recommend.
Top Tourism in Portugal!
We had a simply amazing day in Sintra and Cascais with Hugo as our guide. The experience was extremely pleasant and very profitable from beginning to end.Hugo is attentive, punctual and demonstrates a deep knowledge of the history and culture of Portugal, explaining everything in a light, clear and interesting way. In addition, we learned to adapt the ride to our pace, which made all the difference so that we could enjoy each place calmly.Sintra is charming and full of history, and Cascais closes the day with beautiful landscapes and a delicious climate. With Hugo’s explanations, the places get even more meaningful — it’s not just a walk, it’s a real immersion.I highly recommend Hugo for those who want to meet Sintra and Cascais in an organized, comfortable and enriching way. It was a very well spent day and we would definitely repeat the experience.
Great experience. Fascinating tour.
Felipe was an excellent tour guide. We enjoyed hearing his passion and love for his country in every story he shared with us. Evora and the Chapel of Bones was a most unusual stop. We also enjoyed our lunch at the Aloendro Restaurant. We highly recommend this tour to the Alentejo region of Portugal.
So beautiful!
What a perfect ending to our 8 days in Portugal. The beautiful weather was the icing on the cake, but we so enjoyed the stunning coastline and caves during our visit to the Algarve area of Portugal. The catamaran ride was more than we expected. Beyond the caves, we saw dozens of bottlenose dolphins as they frolicked alongside our boat. It was just wonderful. Once again Felipe, was an excellent tour guide. We have thoroughly loved the treat of private tours during our Portuguese vacation, thanks to him.
Caves & cliffs
I would recommend this private tour with Jose Santos. The drive is a couple hours long but the transportation was in a comfortable AC van. Went to some cliffs to explore around and then went on a boat tour of the coastline caves and dolphin watching. (Only saw one dolphin on the way back from the caves but it was a choppy day out!) Then we went to lunch at a local Portuguese chicken restaurant. Tour started at 7 am and got back to Lisbon around 6:30.
Benagil Caves
Phillip was our tour guide today! He was fabulous took us on a 3 hr car trip from Lisbon to Algarve then we saw scenic views along cliffs overlooking the Atlantic. That was followed up by a fast boat transporting us in and out of the Benagil Caves . It was Amazing the skipper got us very close inside the caves and this is a must do trip. Had lunch overlooking the beach & drove back to Lisbon. I highly recommend this trip!!!
Amazing Tour of Lisbon
We had the absolute pleasure of spending the day with Rui, and it was truly one of the best travel experiences we have ever had. From start to finish, he went above and beyond to show us the beauty, history, and charm of Lisbon. Our private tour included a visit to the castle, where Rui shared fascinating historical details, as well as stops at several stunning cathedrals and landmarks. He also drove us through unique neighborhoods that we never would have found on our own. Throughout the day, Rui introduced us to local eateries where the food was nothing short of amazing, even helping us with ordering so we could fully enjoy authentic Portuguese flavors. What impressed us most was his dedication — Rui spent nearly 13 hours with us, ensuring we experienced everything Lisbon had to offer. His knowledge of the city, warm personality, and genuine passion for sharing his culture made the entire day unforgettable. If you are visiting Lisbon, do yourself a favor and book a tour with Rui. You will see the city in a way that guidebooks simply cannot capture, and you will leave with both incredible memories and a deep appreciation for this beautiful place. Highly recommend!
