My son, Darragh, recently completed a series of maths grinds with Eva at Dublin Maths, and I couldn't recommend her highly enough.
Eva has a fantastic way of explaining maths and breaking down questions into manageable steps. Rather than simply giving answers, she encouraged Darragh to think through problems himself and develop his own approach to solving them. This really helped build both his understanding and confidence.
In the lead-up to his Junior Cert Higher Level Maths exam, Darragh was working through past papers and often got stuck on challenging questions. Eva patiently worked through these with him, explaining each step clearly and helping him understand the reasoning behind the solutions.
Darragh completed his Higher Level Junior Cert Maths paper today and came away very happy with how it went. He was delighted that he was able to attempt and complete all of the questions. We're hopeful that the hard work, along with Eva's excellent support and teaching, will be reflected in his results in October.
Thank you, Eva and Dublin Maths, for the excellent guidance and support.
Just want to say thank you to Sean and all the team You have been a pleasure to deal with setting up JC maths Grinds for my daughter.
She found Evan an excellent teacher !
He seemed to be booked out quickly, so she found another Teacher Niamh !
We would both highly recommend Dublin Maths and we look forward to booking them again for leaving cert !
We have been working with Sean at Dublin Maths for the past two years, and the experience has been genuinely worthwhile.
Over that time, my daughter has made real progress — not just in her exam scores, but in her confidence and her relationship with maths more broadly. That shift in confidence is, for me, the more meaningful outcome.
Sean has been an excellent tutor: consistent, effective, and clearly invested in his students. I would not hesitate to recommend him.
My son has found 1:1 grinds really beneficial, improved 15% in his mock results after just 1 month of grinds. He also did the Easter Crash Course (group online) and feels the topics are well explained, enjoyed the interactive polls to see who got the answers correct and with one day left (5 days x 2 hours) is confident they'll have covered the entire curriculum so ready for the summer exams. As a parent, the most observable result is the improving confidence in approaching harder elements and reduced second guessing.
