DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Contacted DTM to move a piano from one room in our home to another room. Also to move and set up a Murphy bed. Gave all the important information like items to be moved and where they were moving from and too. Gave them our address and phone number. Received an estimate with a quote for a 2 hour minimum. The maximum cost was $450, which I understood could be more if the job was over 2 hours, which I agreed to. Scheduled the move for December 12 and paid $100 deposit. Two days prior to the move date I received a confirmation text along with an arrival time window for our move. The time frame was 9 to 11. Day of the move at 11:30 I called to find out where they were. I was told they would check and call me back in 10 to 15 minutes. Waited 30 minutes, no call back so I called back to ask when they might arrive and was told to hold. They came back on and said they were 30 minutes away. An hour and a half later they arrive at 2:30. Did a great job moving the piano. Brought the bed in and did a good job with that considering we had no instructions. Job was completed in an hour and a half. Eddie asks if I'm ready to pay and I say sure. He called his boss and boss says it's going to be $610. I choked and asked why? He tells me my address and says well there's an extra trip charge. I ask why this was not included in the estimate. It's not like they didn't know where I lived. I said if I had known there was an extra trip charge I never would have contracted with them in the first place. He says he can give me a discount so it will only be $587. Mind you, I've already paid $100. I tell him I'm not happy about the bait and switch but pay with my credit card. Next day I have a charge on my credit card for $610 .04. I felt bad for the guys that moved my stuff. I was going to tip them. Even had cash but not that amount so they got no tip. My tip to you if you are reading this. . . DO NOT USE DTM!

I had an extremely disappointing experience with DTM Vanlines. It took over 8 months for them to pay me on a valid claim. During that entire time, I had to repeatedly call and email just to get updates—there was no proactive communication on their end.
After my final call, they finally sent the payment via Zelle, and then hung up on me, which I found completely unprofessional and disrespectful.
Because of this experience, I will never use Move for Free again if this is the type of company they contract with. The lack of accountability, poor communication, and unprofessional behavior made an already stressful situation worse.
I think I will likely rely on DTM Van Lines next time I move and also ask for Eddie and Isaac who were very cheerful and skillful. I paid for the trip charge and two hours for moving appliance and furniture to a house located 2.6 miles away. Two other movers estimated more than what I actually paid to DTM Van Lines.
Although I was happy with the crew, there were two drawbacks. 1. The time or arrival was between 9 and 11 am, but the crew showed up after 11 am.
2. The estimate contained 3-men crew; however, 2-men (Eddie and Isaac) showed up.
I hope DTM Van Lines consider a discount when I move again next year.
Professional, timely, and knowledgeable. They were very quick too! Would definitely recommend.
Edward and his crew provided TOP notch service. All three men were very professional. They didn’t even complain when they had to move my peloton treadmill+ THREE times due to uncircumstantial situations. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing a moving service. We made sure to grab a business card for future needs. Thank you DTM Van Lines!!🤩
