Diamond Stone Restoration did an excellent job polishing and sealing our kitchen granite top. They were extremely neat and professional. They explained the entire process, and asked us to check their work along the way -- prepping the work area, cleaning, polishing, fine polishing, sealing and buffing. We hired Diamond Stone Restorations to do a rather large job in our building. The work included a full cleaning of ceramic and stone floors, walls, & stairs in a 5 story walk-up building, the repair of damaged stone in entry vestibule, and sanding and honing of stone in the vestibule. I recently hired Diamond Restoration Service (DRS) to resurface my kitchen countertops. After researching several vendors I chose them because they apply two coats of sealant whereas most others only applied one. I did this because I use my kitchen often and wanted the extra protection so I hired them. Two employees arrived, Edwin (Managing Director) and another and quickly got to work. They explained what they were going to do in detail. They sealed off the kitchen area to prevent dust in the rest of the apartment. After several hours they completed the job. Initially everything looked fine, but upon inspection I noticed a couple of areas that needed touch up. Since they hadn’t left the building yet (they were in the elevator) I asked them to come up and touch it up which they did. However two days later is when issues started to arise. I noticed in several places that water spots and rings were clearly visibly. I reached out via email to see what can be done. After several exchanges it was suggested I used bleach or vinegar on the tops, which I did not. They also claimed that to resolve the situation would be an additional cost. It’s a shame that all that cost and time and I ended up with rings and spots in the countertops.
Since the team wouldn’t even come back and inspect the damage to see what remediation could be done I cannot recommend them for this service.
As you stated, everything was completed satisfactorily and approved upon completion. You also mentioned that our charges are 60% higher than other quotes, which raises the question of why you would hire that company. We have consistently addressed all your questions before starting the work.
We agreed to hone, polish, and seal your kitchen countertops, which we completed to your satisfaction. You approved the work and paid the invoice in full. We are attaching pictures of the completed work, which shows no stains or rings. We did not apply an anti-etch treatment for the countertop, as we agreed to use a regular sealer instead.
Please understand that we are not responsible for the use or maintenance of your countertops after the work is completed. If the countertops were damaged during a party or taco night, that is outside of our responsibility.
Despite this, we have continued to provide information and stay in contact with you. However, you have requested that we return and redo the work for free. Trying to manipulate the situation by threatening to leave a negative review is disappointing. We have done our best to serve you and your countertops. Leaving negative reviews simply because you expect us to redo work for free, when you previously confirmed everything was fine, reflects poorly on your character.
In hindsight, we should have paid closer attention to your comments about the 60% markup, which indicated a misunderstanding on your part and a tendency to create issues.

Edwin and his team did a fabulous job bringing my marble bathroom to life. The tile was stained and the grout had been repaired poorly. I never expected it to look this good. Edwin is the one you need to repair your sad looking marble. It was a pleasure to deal with him, courteous besides keeping my place neat and clean.
Edwin was punctual and extremely professional. My marble bathrooms were neglected for over 20 years. Grout was missing in the shower floors in addition to most corners. The existing grout was black and there were stains in multiple places. Now the bathrooms look close to new. Grout is back to its original color and stains were either eliminated or much, much paler than they were before.
Edwin was very meticulous and my house was cleaner than before he arrived! Cannot recommend highly enough.

Everything about this service is exemplary. I have a master bathroom with marble walls, shower and countertop that has been impossible to maintain. Edwin and his team restored each surface to perfection and applied a treatment to ensure the surfaces will not etch again. I can't believe how beautifully it all turned out. They could not have been more professional or accommodating. They took care with each and every detail, and took me along through each step of the process. Edwin patiently taught me how to maintain his good work, to ensure that it lasts.
