The neighborhood transformer blew and caused a blackout. My refrigerator water dispenser stopped working and then shortly after, it stopped cooling the top racks and the cooling in general was all weird where the bottom racks of my refrigerator side would have too much cold air and my fruit/ veggies would become frozen.
I had initially called a different company to do a service call and they told me I needed to replace my refrigerator completely and that the compressor was on its last leg. They charged me a $75 service fee and didn’t really answer much of my questions and just left. I had only just gotten my refrigerator in late 2022 so I called Appliance Repair USA for a second opinion and boy am I glad I did!
Max came out to do the service call and thoroughly looked through everything said that it’s actually my control board that was fried and it would be roughly around $300 for the part and $200 for an installation fee. I’ll take a $500 cost over a $2k+ cost for a new fridge replacement any day.
Not only was the experience in working with Max SO much better than the first company, the communication from Appliance Repair USA was on point! If they were running late, they’d let me know. If we needed to reschedule, they’d let me know right away.
Max answered all my questions and gave me tips / advice on what to do next while we wait for the part to come. And about a week alter when the part arrived, he immediately contacted me and the next morning he was here installing it and was done in less than 30 mins!
Everything is in working order now and they even have a 90 day warranty. I’m so glad I went with my gut instincts to get a second opinion with Appliance Repair USA. Highly recommend them for their professionalism and their techs knowledge!
