My father-in-law got diagnosed with stage 3 Bile duct cancer in July. Some doctors were not willing to do the required surgery, and some agreed upon surgery only if the blood test parameters were within the specific range. Dr Vinay gave us hope and suggested surgery immediately without waiting for the tests to come to a specific range. He did so to prevent further spread of the tumor. The operation was carried out successfully on 31st July. The bile duct was removed and a new connection from the liver to the intestine was properly established. We continued with the follow-ups and now my father-in-law is properly healed. Dr Vinay and their team are exceptional in support and stand with you till your loved one is perfectly fine. Heartfelt gratitude to Dr Vinay Gaikwad, Dr Jyoti Bhat, Dr Naved akhter, Dr Ibrahim Ali, Mr Anshul and Ms Preeti Tyagi. All gave their 100% to provide the best possible care. If you have them as your treating team, be rest assured you are in the experienced and right hands. Since bile duct cancer is not common, I would suggest anyone reading the review that Dr Vinay and team are the ones to go for to treat your loved one.

PIPAC is a dangerous treatment, think 1000 times before proceeding with it. My uncle went through a horrible time period after the treatment, ultimately leading to his death due to the complications arises from it. The procedure lasted for a few hours however he remained in ICU for a month as PIPAC caused the perforation of the internal organs mainly in the small intestine. The perforation lead to severe infection in his body that he had to remain in ICU and on ventilator. He was unable to eat for a month due to leakage in the small intestine, leading to sepsis and surviving on TPN. The conditions deteriorated day- day ultimately leading to multi organ failure. The treatment itself is expensive but the afterwards treatment from the complications increased the financial burden by 10X. The doctor should remain aware about the complications from the treatment, an early diagnosis of the complication might have saved his life.
