I recently had my eyes done by Dr. Joel Kopelman and I truly love the results. I had both an upper and lower blepharoplasty. The doctor is unbelievable in his care and attention to detail. He took an artists approach to helping me get great results. I am so thankful that I was able to find such an amazing facial plastic surgeon who is an expert in eyelids in New York City.

I had an upper and lower blepharoplasty done by Dr. Kopelman in his NJ office. I do not write negative reviews but feel it is important to share my horrific life changing experience I went through with Dr. Kopelman and the struggles and complications I now have. Since the surgery, I am left with a tugging pain when opening and closing my eyes. My eyelids are asymmetrical, deep set, and has creepy skin. My lower right eyelid is now hollow due to excessive fat removal where he created a permanent dark bag and my lower left eyelid bag is now more prominent. The scars on my eyelids are highly visible way above where the crease folds. I have been back to his office many times communicating my concerns. His ego and greed will not allow him to admit anything went wrong with the surgery. More importantly, I now have chronic eye pain and also severe dry eyes which I never had prior to this surgery. This has affected my job, drastically deteriorated my quality of life and ruined my mental health. Dr. Kopelman says he has no idea why I'm having these issues. His gaslighting, unapologetic behavior, and illogical answers are appalling as I never imagined I would have these issues and results as Dr. Kopelman is an oculofacial plastic surgeon who specializes in this area and is the reason why I selected him over the other plastic surgeons. When I voiced my concerns about the prominent visible scars, he said it was because i wanted a high eyelid crease and for the deep set asymmetrical eyelids, he said it was just my anatomy. I am shocked by his deflection and his absurd responses! Due to my chronic excruciating daily pain from Dr. Kopelman's surgery, I will now have to spend additional money I Do Not have to seek an eye specialists for my issues, medications, and treatments. Putting my trust and faith in Dr. Kopelman has been the worse experience and regret of my life! Don’t let it be yours!!

Dr. Kopelman is the only plastic surgeon I would trust for a face lift. I went to a few consultations with different facial plastic surgeons in NYC and other places and it wasn't until my visit with Dr. Kopelman did I feel I had found the right surgeon. He is outstanding to say the least, I had a face-lift, lip lift, brow lift and blepharoplasty and I can honestly say I look youthful yet natural. I don't look overdone. He is so smart, explains everything he is going to do in detail, and takes the most wonderful care of his patients. His aftercare was also superb and he made sure I was healing well along the way, always checking in on me. Thank you for treating me like family. Dr. Kopelman performed a face lift with a neck lift on me about 3 months ago and I must say I look and feel incredible! I look rejuvenated, youthful, yet so natural. He is the absolute master at not over doing your face and making you look just perfect. During consultation, he first asked me what was bothering me and then shared with me what he saw. He took a completely holistic approach to my face and explained thoroughly what he saw. He walked me through what a face lift and neck lift entails, and I left feeling so confident about him, his skills, abilities and knew I was really in the hands of the best facial plastic surgeon. The surgery day went very smoothly and his follow up care is absolutely suburb. I've honestly never met a doctor like him. I'm thrilled with my results and I can't say enough good things. I have known Dr. Kopelman for nearly twenty years and would not trade him for any other plastic surgeon. It started with a removal of a cancerous lesion with a minimal healthy tissue margin and great cosmetic results (it was scary what other surgeons wanted to do to me!). He has been there when I needed help with cuts to my face and sunken cheeks. Never too much, always aesthetically gentle and well balanced. After a lot of research, visiting other plastic surgeons, and watch Dr. Kopelman’s YouTube channel, I decided to have a consultation with him and did my upper and lower eyelids (blepharoplasty), and a brow lift and I am grateful and thrilled with my decision. He is brilliant and skillful, what I appreciated most is he’s a doctor before anything else and really wanted to look out for me. If you are not local, i would even recommend traveling across the country to have surgery done by him because he is a perfectionist and you will be in excellent hands if you choose to have plastic surgery with Dr. Kopelman. I just had upper eyelid surgery on April 27, 2023. I traveled from Chicago. After extensive research, I felt confident that I would be in good hands with Dr. Kopelman, fue to his extensive knowledge and meticulous details explaining the procedure .
