Joaquin was a great guide. He was focused on catching fish and making this a memorable trip and it was. There were 4 in our party and all had a great time. I will not hesitate to use Joaquin again.

Captain Joaquin and Elli were fantastic as guides and instructors. We had a wonderful day on Laguna Madria. Captain had us on the fish and we limited out Redrum. I would recommend Drift Water Charters without hesitation. Hopefully I can return to South Padre Island soon and go out with Drift Water Charters again.

Captain Joaquin knows what he’s doing! Even on a tough day, we managed to get into some trout and reds. Caught a trophy sized trout just shy of 26 inches, a 28 and 29 inch red, and several more respectable sized trout and reds. He was patient with my kids and showed them good techniques. Very communicative and accommodating. Wouldn’t fish with anyone else when I come back!

Awesome experience for me and my dad. Mr. Pena is an experienced guide that had us on drum within a minute of our first cast! Limited out Black drum with an hour to go fishing for some trout caught 5 and kept 1 of legal size. All around great experience, amazing guide that knows the waters. Book your trip with Mr. Pena he won’t disappoint!
