Same-day service from DrainPro, with great quality provided by Jim ! My sewer was blocked, we encountered an obstacle. Jim was very patient, step-by-step to overcome the problem, unblocked the sewer with his amazing technical skills. Furthermore, he run the CCTV camera thru the pipe and explained clearly. Thanks very much Jim.
Very disappointing experience with Drainpro.
Joe arrived on time and, after a quick inspection, quoted me $685 to unblock a stormwater pipe. After less than an hour of work, he advised that the pipe was blocked by tree roots and said he was unable to clear it. He then provided a quote of nearly $17,000 to excavate and replace the pipe.
Fortunately, I sought a second opinion from a local plumber, who was able to successfully clear the blockage and remove the tree roots for a fraction of the cost.
While I appreciate the punctuality, I was disappointed that the issue was deemed unfixable so quickly and that the proposed solution was so expensive when a much simpler and more affordable repair was possible.

We were fortunate in that a relatively minor failure - a broken stormwater pipe under a tree in the backyard - had saved the house from a major tree-root blockage closer to the stormwater mains. As soon as Nick had found the problem, the team at DrainPro were able to fit us in at short notice to fix both issues. They even managed to get the digger into our backyard - despite the restricted access - without unnecessarily tearing up the lawn (which would have been easy to do with the wet weather) in order to excavate and replaced the affected pipework.
They replaced the damaged terracotta pipework (PVC was used for the repairs, which they joined neatly to the terracotta and sealed effectively to prevent root intrusion at the join) and installed a new surface-level drain/access point above the stormwater mains where the original had become buried and damaged by tree roots. Once the repairs were complete (including reinstating the top soil over the affected area), Nick returned to give the entire stormwater pipework a final clean and inspection. He bent over backwards to help map out all the pipes with me, which was much appreciated since even the 60+ year old original plans didn't include it.
They were great to deal with and very helpful, answering all my questions. Not only do we now have a fully working and cleaned stormwater drainage system, but we know where it all is now too!

I wish I had called DrainPro first.
We had a sewage blockage in our backyard drain. Another plumber gave us a fixed price over the phone, but when he arrived, he claimed tree roots had badly blocked the line, said it would take two people 3–4 hours, and quoted 10 times the original price. He also mentioned possible pipe replacement. After negotiation, he cleared it for the original quoted price but admitted it was only a temporary fix. We called around, but no one could tell us the real scope of work.
Then I called DrainPro this morning. They waived the callout fee without hesitation. The plumber, Nick, texted me 30 minutes before arriving. After inspecting, he told us it should only be a 1–2 hour job and gave us a quote on the spot – less than half of what the other plumber wanted.
We asked him to go ahead. Nick finished in just 1.5 hours. He even cleaned up the sewage overspill left behind by the previous plumber. Nick explained that with the pipes now properly cleared, we just need maintenance every couple of years – no pipe replacement necessary.
We are so glad we found DrainPro. If we had called them first, we would have saved the hundreds we wasted on the other plumber. Highly recommend them, especially Nick!

We had a blocked gully to main pipe issue and found Drainpro after a quick Google search. They had the most 5-star reviews compared to others, which gave us confidence to call. We rang around 3pm on a Saturday and had a team member booked in for first thing Monday morning.

Nick did an excellent job clearing our sewer pipe. He was professional, took the time to explain the issue (tree roots had caused a major blockage), and cleaned the entire system very thoroughly. What really stood out was how tidy he left everything – no mess left behind. His fee was also very reasonable for the quality of work he provided. Honest and reliable! Jim attended our home for a second opinion after a Plumber told us it would cost $4800 to fix a broken pipe under ground. Jim attended and advised the problem was in fact not ours and SEW is responsible to fix it and he was indeed right. He assisted in speaking with SEW and we could not thank him more for his honesty. It’s hard to find honest trades these days, much appreciated Jim.
