Excellent, I couldn’t have asked for better service. The care given by this practice is incredible. I am very grateful. Sophie saw me quickly and referred me to the Eye Pavilion that afternoon. I know they didn’t have any appointments but they still managed to squeeze me in. Everyone at the practice is always helpful and cheerful. A special mention to Lyn. A very professional and caring team.

I had always thought that opticians were all basically the same but Clare provided me with not just an excellent service but a sharper vision than I've ever had! When I broke the frame of my reading glasses, I dropped them into Downes Opticians, Market Place, North Berwick, East Lothian for repair. Not only were my spectacles repaired the same day, Downes’ staff refused to accept any payment for the repair. I can’t praise them highly enough for the care they gave me.

Sophie Campbell at the North Berwick branch of Downes Opticians is an exceptional optician, she is very professional, kind and encouraging. Sophie explains what she is doing and it has been very reassuring to have her take care of me during some eye problems. Lynne at the front desk gives you a lovely welcome with a smile when you walk in and is always helpful at her desk or on the phone. I would highly recommend using them. They take very great care of you.
