I am a retired consulting civil engineer with 42 years experience. Our homeowners association hired DIY Retaining Wall to design a retaining wall from jumbo 2’x2’x6’ concrete blocks. The wall is about 150 feet long with a height of 2 to 10 feet. This creative alternative was half the cost of other retains wall alternatives. In addition to the design, professional engineer Matt Parrish assisted us by making all permit submittals required by our local building department. Because our project was within a creek bank, the US Army Corps of Engineers required a 404 permit submittal which was also successfully completed by Matt Parrish. Finally, he successfully obtained a 401 permit from the Ohio EPA. All of this engineering work was done at a very reasonable cost and completed on schedule. I can highly recommend DIY Retaining Wall for your project.

Matt is a Licensed PE in multiple states with design & practical experience in retaining wall design. Matt provided valuable insight regarding drainage, foundation base depth, foundation base material that were unique and site specific to my property due to the slope & soil types. I'm a licensed PE in HVAC with very limited knowledge & experience in civil/ structural/ geo-technical.
