If we had 10 stars we would give it to Discount Lumber, Chris and Joe. One of our parents came in to request Lumber to edge our school yard, knowing their prices are great and it is worth the drive! The exceeded all our expectations by giving great advise and generously donating to our school. A huge thanks for your big hearts, Highbridge School and our students love the added completion to our school grounds. I just drove 30 mins to get here because your website says you sell doors! All kinds of doors. It literally lists all the doors you sell and has a picture. I get there and guess what? No doors. The guy at the front counter said you haven’t had doors in 10 years! And he said oh our websites not correct we’ve been trying to fix that. Seriously? 😡
Shopping at Discount Lumber was based on the recommendation of my deck builder. In my initial visit to buy several treated 2x8s for a shed project, the desk staff and loaders were efficient, helpful, and easy to work with. A subsequent visit was made to address some dimensional variances between the boards. Chris and crew listened to my concerns and provided a very equitable solution. I plan to use Discount Lumber for future lumber needs.
My contractor called me last minute with my materials list so when I drove 50 miles into Spokane to Discount Lumber and found out they are 4-5 days out for standard orders, I panicked. Chris Mills, the general manager for the north store was sympathetic and went to great lengths to help me get my order placed ASAP and made mountains move to get me out the door same day with my materials. A big thank you to his crew back in the metal shop who rushed my order. I would highly recommend Discount lumber for all of your building material needs.
I needed a corner siding trim piece for my cedar house. Nowhere in town had one. The guys at Discount Lumber and Truss gave me a possible solution. Because it might not work, they gave me the part for nothing except the promise to write this review. The fix completely worked, and I am grateful for their help. I will use them for my next home project.
