I've been a long time client of this office and have come to be so disappointed in their practice. I've been going back there almost every month for a stubborn wart on my finger - freezing it, removing it etc and have nearly spent $2K + on doctors visits there over the past few months. I went there today simply for the doctor to look at my finger to make sure it wasn't infected and for two minutes of her time she charged me $250 dollars. Absolutely ridiculous! I told the manager that I simply wanted to make sure that my finger was okay and on the right track and she replied "this is office policy."I'm not typically a complainer and have so much respect for the medical world - but this is beyond me. Money hungry, money driven, taking advantage of the upper class given their fifth avenue location. So disappointed and disheartened in this place- especially after going here since i was a teenager. :(
I visited this practice today to do a Miradry procedure. Let me just say the customer experience was superb by far such a comforting process. Dr. Jakus and Donna really toke the time out to make my experience relaxing with the least amount of pain. I toke it on myself to write this review because it was well deserved. The environment was very professional, clean, and the staff was very welcoming as well. Would recommend to friends and family.
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Madfes for over 20 years and I’ve probably referred more than 30 people to her (including my husband, and my daughter sees her partner). Everyone has always been extremely happy, as I am. I trust her 100%. She is an excellent doctor and very vigilant with her skin cancer checks. From a cosmetic point of view she is super honest about what won’t work and what will and she’s conservative— you never see anyone “overdone” walking out of her office. If you want beautiful healthy skin she is the right doctor to go to. I love her staff too.
I have been a patient of both Dr. Madfes and Dr. Williams for years, they are both wonderful and caring physicians and deliver excellent care that is tailored to my needs and aesthetic ideals. They have excellent nurses/assistants, both Angel and Carolyn are lovely and thorough in their instructions. I pay out of pocket and find their fees very affordable, for years I saw in-network dermatologists that were rushed and didn't take my mild/moderate issues seriously. Although those doctors were surely well meaning, I feel I wasted my time and money allowing an insurance company to choose my provider. Thank you for taking my skincare concerns seriously and giving me back the confidence that years of problem skin eroded! Dr Madfes and Dr Williams and their team are the best NYC have to offer. Broken Capillaries and Real Health Concerns - New York
I've never been so disappointed or disturbed by a doctor of her office. Many reasons, but I'll focus on where she ripped me off. While at her office on 2/15/16 I asked her to zap a few broken capillaries. I was charged $300 (I was to have it done more effectively and for a fraction of the price elsewhere). I had a follow up on 3/18/16 and showed her that they were still there and not even faded. I was shocked to be charged another $300. I called her office immediately when I got home and saw that the laser hadn't even touched the broken capillaries. I also half expected to be told that the second charge was a mistake (seeing as I only needed it again since the first didn't work). They did not say that. I will spare you some of the details and tell that I've left 6 messages and she hasn't called me back to discuss the charges or my health concerns. I've been seeing her for 10 years and March 18th was the very first time I've called for any reason other than to make an appointment.

Fraxel I Liciously AMAZING @61 Years Old. - New York, NY
This was my 2nd Fraxel on my neck, chest and this Monday, I had the first treatment to the face. I had major pigmentation damage due to years of laying in the sun, which Ive now, sadly, had to give up. Personally, I had some minimal discomfort from the Fraxel re:store treatment. Prior to the laser, lidocaine was put on for one hr to the parts to be treated. While recovering from my first Frazel 3 months ago I had a rough time and experienced a lot of red blotches. This went away quickly and can be part of the healing process. Majorly reduced the age spots, tightened the skin and is also helping my minor lines. This time just bronzed, lizard like skin. I haven't started to peel off yet. Im thinking in a few more days. I initially looked like a had a sun burn and now just a scaly bronze to my skin. My neck experienced an amazing restoration from the first Fraxel and the lay turkey skin completely went away. It takes a while for the collagen to rebuild so the skin can retract. To really experience the amazing result you have to give the skin time to rebuild. I am convinced that this Fraxel is the miracle we have been looking for. Also this is procedure that really should be repeated to get flawless results. I will go back for the third Fraxel in a few months. I can't write about this most recent treatment because it just was done. Ill post monthly as I start to recover. Updated on 11 Jan 2014: All is going well. I have just begun to start to shed some of the lizard like bronzed skin. I have no pain but I am not being social this weekend. Figured it'd be best to lay low until Ive shed into my new skin. As far as a 3rd face, neck and chest treatment, time will tell once the skin starts to build collagen. Also need time to evaluate the age spots after I shed. Updated on 26 Jan 2014: It took a solid week for my facial skin and chest to start to flake off. It happens so slowly that only by touching your skin can you feel this shedding. My face still has some spots and now it needs the months it takes to restore and rebuild the collagen. I will need more treatments on my face. I spent YEARS in the sun so Im not surprised that this is the case. My friend has had many facial fraxel treatments, she's 63. I swear it looks flawless. Smooth, spotless, tight, bright, and very minimal lines. These treatments aren't a one time deal, until you're seeing the results you want. Stay OUT of the sun. BooHoo. If you go without 50 block those spots are right there, just waiting to pop up again.

Prep Before Filler Injections - New York, NY
Ive been using Juvederm and had excellent results. My problem was the bruising. I looked awful for many days after. This time I used Arnica dissolving tabs 6 times a day and substantially less bruised. Ive noticed just very light bruises at the entry site. I stopped after the injections. Next time Ill prep like I did this time with Arnica and continue for 3-5 days to see if that makes the bruising heal faster. I bet it does. Also never use aspirin or Advil for one week prior to treatment.

I had the new Thermage on my 59 year old neck and jawline just today. Dr Diane Madfes NYC who is an amazing cosmetic derm who worked with Dr Pat Wexler gave me something she KNOWS will work and it did already. I have noticed a tightening immediately with better results in time. Dr Madfes isn't one of the md's who push the latest fad lasers- i.e. Zerona etc but she had no doubts and now neither do I. Go for it!!!. Next time I'm doing my whole face. FYI it does burn slightly but only for a second with every new spot. Nothing intolerable. 5 stars.
