Update: Hilarious how judgmental you people are when yes, I was seeing if I wanted to hire you.
My dog doesn't go outside alone and you people were a midday check-in visit, other than my friend who sees her morning and evenings. But thanks a bunch, I didn't bother reading the rest of what you said, but super unprofessional of you to try and judge and condemn. I will give bad reviews on any other possible platform, to warn people to dodge your bad company.

Terrible and unhelpful. Left me in a lurch citing it would somehow be better for my pets, because they wanted to milk it and make me pay for extra visits. Found a better service and I'm glad I dodged a bullet and stayed away from people who care about money more than my little ones.

This was not an existing client relationship. You contacted us for the first time after your regular pet sitter (not our company) was no longer able to help, asking us to begin care the following day while you were already out of town. We had never met you or your pets, had never been to your home, and had no opportunity to conduct the meet-and-greet we require before accepting any new client. You also requested a single midday visit for your dog — who, by your own description, has separation anxiety, cries and panics when alone, doesn't eat unless someone is with her, and had recently been escaping under the backyard fence.
For a dog with that profile, a single visit per day means roughly 24 hours between human check-ins. Our minimum of two visits per day for dogs aligns with guidance from Pet Sitters International and the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters, and it exists specifically for animals like yours. Combined with accepting a new household sight-unseen on short notice, it wasn't a care plan we could responsibly take on — not about money, but about doing the job properly.
We understand that wasn't the answer you were hoping for, and we're genuinely glad you found a sitter who could accommodate your schedule. We wish Moonlight, Itsy Bitsy, Simon, and Banny all the best.

When requesting petsitting services I filled out the forms extensively with details about my 4 big dogs and 1 cat. I very specifically mentioned that it needs to be someone who has significant experience with animals, as they’re a pretty big and rambunctious crew. One dog has a history of escaping and another has anxiety with new people. They’ve had pet sitters in the past, who were great. However, we know we need someone who can keep them in check and handle a pack of 4 big dogs. I could not have been more clear of what our needs were.
So, whenever an 18 year old who has never had petsitting experience showed up for the meet and greet (she told me the day I met her was her first day ever watching an animal), it made me wonder if the company even 1) reads the forms you fill out about your animals and 2) does any sort of on job training or vetting of their petsitters whatsoever. She was completely clueless and I had to prompt her of what she should be asking and information she would need to remember. (But even then she didn’t write any of it down.) It was concerning and very worrisome. I had 0% confidence I could leave my pets with her.
When I complained to the owner, I was met with understanding and immediately offered a more experienced sitter to come by asap for a meet and greet. I appreciated this response, however, I had too bad of a taste in my mouth at that point and didn’t feel like trust could be regained. Why in the world was that not what I was initially given? I understand that everyone needs a starting point in job fields and I fully support that girl becoming a petsitter after gaining some experience, but I made it abundantly clear of what kind of needs we had from square one.
I do not have a small dog and a cat that are easy. I have two high energy dogs over 100 lbs with behaviors that need constant redirection and two other 75 lbs dogs that feed off of them. On their best day, they’re just a LOT. It was not fair to the girl to have her start out with something like that, nor would it have been safe for my dogs. With the kind of reviews on here I reallly wanted to like this company, but I felt shocked by this experience. I really hope that my experience was an outlier.
I personally am going to go with a smaller company who actually knows who they are employing and associating themselves with. This was really disappointing. I hate leaving less than positive reviews, but I want people to be aware that this seems more like a contracting company vs one that actually knows, trains, and employs their workers.

I have used DFW's services for 3 years now and have never had a single concern about leaving my pets in the care of one of the team. I know my pets will be cared for as if they were the pet sitters own, and it is always one less thing to worry about when I have to be away from them. Highly recommend DFW Pet Sitting Services - the best of the best!

Fantastic team to work with, our farm sitter Kelley was exceptional. We have used them at least three times. Wi are not a standard dog an cat household. We have goats, donkeys, and poultry. They exceed our expectation every time.
Fantastic experience with them. I have used many boarding services but felt it was too stressful for my babies. I felt such peace of mind knowing they were comfortable at home. Our sitter Mark was an excellent communicator and went above and beyond. Mark, if you get this message, I have never seen the cats eat so much food while we are away!
