The technician came out and looked at my system. They determined the motor on the outdoor unit was bad and was keeping it from continuing to run. I replaced the motor on my own and the problem continued. When I asked them to come back out to figure out what was actually wrong, they wanted to charge me another diagnostic fee. I instead called another HVAC company to diagnose and they determined that the high pressure sensor was bad. This was the actual problem.

Andrew thank you for the review. We diagnosed on 6/8/2026 the unit was tripping on the high pressure switch and the fan motor was seized. We quoted the repair for the unit and you declined. When you called in yesterday you said it had been fixed by others. So naturally we would charge another service fee to come out as we didn’t do the repair for you as you declined. Thank you for the feedback!
As always, technician did an excellent job doing 6 month check-up on furnace and cleaning of both AC units. He explained everything he would be checking and how he was going to be cleaning the units. Everything looks great. He left everything neat and clean and was careful when coming in my home to get into the attic space. Thanks again, I will continue to highly recommend Modern Mechanical to everyone I know.
We recently had our gas pack unit replaced with a Trane unit, and the process with Modern Mechanical couldn't have been better.
Jason came out and did a thorough evaluation along with a load calculation to make sure we got the right sized unit (We got multiple quotes, he was the only one to do this!), the total price was good, and the install & inspections went smoothly!
I'll definitely recommend them moving forward.
HVAC technician Jackson was professional and courteous. He arrived on schedule and spent plenty of time both indoors and outside to service our system. Afterwards, he made certain that all of our questions were answered and that our concerns were met.
