Well, I can’t say enough positive things about the experience that I had with Peter and his team at Deep Roots Rifle Company. These guys are the real deal! First off, I think it would be hard to find another company that provides the level of service that I experienced in my dealings with Peter during my rifle build process. Starting with my initial consultation and then throughout the build process, Peter was extremely informative and very responsive to any and all of the questions that I had throughout the process. But, I have to say, the most impressive part of this whole experience was the final product that Peter and his team turned out! Wow! The quality of their workmanship, the precision accuracy, and the sheer beauty of the rifles they build truly can’t be appreciated until you have held one of their custom guns in your hands and especially after you have had a chance to run your first bullet down range! It is without a doubt the finest, smoothest, most accurate, tack driver I’ve ever had the opportunity to shoot! I honestly don’t remember if Peter guaranteed me .50” MOA accuracy! But it is definitely what he delivered! Lol! I love my new 7MM PRC! I just can’t say enough about Peter and his team and the rifle they built for me! I am one happy customer! Hell, we are already talking about my next build! Lol!

Peter and Anne were a delight to work with. I called Peter and he recommended the rifle scope and everything that would suite my purposes. I ordered it with him and had in my hand in about a week with the scope and everything installed. I highly recommend using Deep Roots Rifle.

I won a Deep Roots Rifle build at a Coastal Conservation Association banquet’s live auction. Being what I would call a novice hunter and shooter I was immediately concerned about two things, the first, since I only had experience with off-the-rack rifles and had a general knowledge of rifles, did I know enough about rifles to really know what I wanted in a custom build. second, being a novice hunter, would a custom rifle really help me that much with my shooting and therefore hunting? Peter spent hours with me prior to the build learning about what I hunted, where I hunted, how far I was comfortable taking an ethical shot, and what I felt my shooting weaknesses were. My build took place over a hunting season and there were many times I called him after a hunt to give him more information, change what we had previously decided on, or just pick his brain on what had happened on that hunt. Many times, I would call and just give him an information dump not knowing what I was asking or if what I was giving him even had to do with a rifle build. Peter was always available and took whatever time I needed. He took the time to explain to me the pros and cons of each part of the rifle and how it could affect my shot. He was always patient and never made me feel like I didn’t know what I was talking about which was most of the time. These back-and-forth phone calls went on for close to a year before we came up with the final design. The current rifle I was running was a Christensen which was what I was basing all my info on, Peter kept telling me that our build would “blow that gun out of the water” which I, as a novice hunter doubted due to my shooting skill level. Wow was I wrong! My Deep Roots Rifle not only made me more comfortable behind it but also helped my shooting tremendously. I would recommend a Deep Roots build to anyone, novice or skilled, looking for a true precision rifle. I know if I ever buy another rifle, it will be a Deep Roots Rifle!

I chose deep roots rifle company to build the rifle that I wanted because of their knowledge and attention to detail. I knew what I wanted the rifle to do. So with quite a few phone calls and meetings with Peter he designed it and put it together. It did everything I wanted it to do and more, and I am currently having them build me another one. Through and through great company with Anne keeping everything straight and running smooth.
