Living a Better Life Dr. Ruggieri, saved my life in 1999 when he sent me to Sarasota Memorial Hospital for a quadruple bypass. He has been my primary care doctor ever since. Although I may have been resistant at times, he has helped me to develop a better lifestyle in many ways. The seriousness of good health is dominant in the exam room. The joy in the visit is in the reception area. Over the 26 years I have been coming to Dr. Ruggieri, I have gotten to known the staff that work for him. We have shared laughs and stories, and I like to think come to be friends over the years. Sometimes I feel like Norm from the cheers when I enter the front door. I thank you all for taking care of me over the years.

My name is Bill Taylor. I am a retired Inspector with the NYPD. When I moved to Florida 2 years ago, I along with my dad, a retired NYPD Chief, were in need of a doctor. Dr. Ruggieri came highly recommended by several of my NYPD colleagues and my dad and I both made appointments. Dr. Ruggieri was very thorough and discovered many issues, especially with my dad, that literally saved his life. Dr. Ruggieri is compassionate, knowledgeable, and leaves no stone unturned to ensure the health of his patients.

Dr Ruggieri is very passionate about his patients diagnosis. He is happy when you follow his suggestions and the results show. I have changed my entire diet and lifestyle around and the results show. Dr. Ruggieri can be stern with you if you don’t do what you’re supposed to and the results do not improve. However he simply only wants his patients to be healthy. Dr Ruggieri is my primary Dr and cardiologist. I would highly recommend Dr. Ruggieri best Dr in SWFL. Even his entire office is staffed with an extremely caring office staff, that are always there for patients.

FABULOUS!!! Dr. Ruggieri is a medical wonder to behold. He's fabulous! Clearly one of the most intelligent, informed and capable doctor's I've ever seen. My history goes all the way back to when he was my mother and father's physician. He took excellent care of them both. When I relocated to Florida to care for them in their older years, I quickly became a fan. It was only natural that he become my doctor of choice as well!!! "Dr. R" genuinely cares about the total you. From head to toe, he knows about, treats and manages every aspect of your heath. It's a huge bonus that he's also a cardiologist with testing capabilities on site. I recently had a critical episode that landed me in the ICU and hospital. Following my discharge, Dr. Ruggieri was able to jump in and determine what had happened me, when no one else over my 19 day stay could. If you want the very best in all things health care, Dr. Ruggieri is the doctor for you!!! After all these many years as my medical provider, I still feel blessed to have him and his staff at my side.

Dr. Ruggieri has been my primary care physician since 1999 at which time he saved my life. He's been very thorough with my care over the years and I appreciate that he recognizes something is amiss or he sees a change in me and follows up to determine the cause. I've told him he can't retire until I pass on.

I have been with DR Ruggieri for about two years and I am very happy with him . It Took me a little bit of time to get to know him and build up his trust. He doesn’t exactly live very close to me. I live in North Cape Coral and he’s up in Punta Gorda, which is about almost 40 minutes away, but the first time I met him , He said I want to get to know my patients I like to know everything about them he . So conducted every test under the sun on me to know me inside and out. He wanted to check my prostate. He had to check it with his finger so he said to me , bet you had never had a cardiologist check your prostate before. I laughed and said no never lol. He does everything . He is very thorough and caring and if you do not listen to him He Will get on your case . - . He means well comes off a little little rough sometimes, but he just wants the best for his patience, and I’ve come to realize that, I’m very happy. I’m met Dr Ruggieri and even though it’s far away I will continue going there because I know he has everything under control . I would recommend him to other patients.

Common sense After retiring from 28 years on the Chicago Fire Department I relocated to SW Florida. Couple years later I wasn’t feeling that great. I found Dr RUGGIERI. After some tests he straightened me out with his matter of fact diagnosis. 5 months of following his strict instructions I feel like a million bucks. Highly recommend!!!! Dr. Ruggieri has been my doctor for over 25 years. He is a wonderful doctor, he has been not only my cardiologist but has brought me through several blood clot issues and is also my primary. He is totally thorough (sometimes I get tired of all the testing) and tells it like it is! The entire staff is very knowledgeable and so friendly and easy to deal with. I highly recommend him, you won't be disappointed.

When moving from New York to Florida one concern was health care facilities as well doctors. I had a test that came back questionable and needed a cardiologist. I was blessed to have several friends who already lived in Fla and recommended Dr Ruggeri, well what an amazing experience it was. His staff was so great and attentive, always answering my concerns and questions. Dr Ruggeri was so thorough administrating every test to assure my health concerns being his priority. After all the testing, Dr Ruggeri explained every test so I understood what everyone meant. No rushing you out the door he made sure I was comfortable with all my tests. George Remick I have been a patient of Dr. Ruggieri since 2006, when I saw him for a second opinion regarding my ongoing chest pain, which my previous Cardiologist appeared to ignore. Dr. Ruggieri did a heart Catheterization, found a 95% blockage, and subsequently inserted a stent. He has been my primary care physician as well as my Cardiologist ever since. He is not reluctant to refer you to a specialist or for other medical procedures. His office is equipped to perform stress test and ultrasounds as necessary, saving you from having to go to another location. Through his ongoing care, he recognized that I needed a heart catheterization in 2022, which resulted in my having to have a double by-pass. I highly recommend Dr. Ruggieri and his very pleasant and professional office staff for your medical needs.

I have my life back!! For months, I suffered from debilitating, unexplained heart palpitations. After consulting five different doctors with no answers, I was losing hope. Then I found Dr. Ruggieri.
