The service provided by Damp Doctor was excellent. Michelle was extremely helpful in arranging our appointment and we had an engineer out to us within the week.
Colin, the engineer was excellent from start to finish clearly explaining the process and providing excellent advice regarding his findings once he had finished. Our comprehensive report was provided to us within a matter of days.

Off to a bad start . Got a phone call to say they would be out between 10 and 12 . No one showed up or rang me . I think I was expected to sit waiting on them all day . I rang at 12 to explain I had to leave at 1 for an appointment. I was told they were delayed . If they were delayed they could have made it to me before one or after 3 . I was told if they didn't make it out yesterday they would next Friday ? . What's wrong with Saturday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday?
I will be registering a complaint with DCC first thing Tuesday morning .
As they did not show up yesterday or even have the common decency to make contact with me. I will have to now try clean the mold in my son with special needs room even though I have COPD.
I don't have much faith in this company now.
Can't stick to a time , don't bother to update you, if they are late or no one is showing up .

For clarity, Dampdoctor’s contracted client in this matter is the relevant Council, who appointed us to attend the property. We report directly to and are accountable to the paying client under that agreement.

The appointment was scheduled for an arrival window of 10:00–12:00. At 12:08, you contacted our office while our operations team was actively assessing a delay internally, coordinating between field staff and scheduling to determine whether the team could still attend as close as possible to the agreed window. This process is necessary to ensure that any update provided is accurate, meaningful, and constructive, which is why contact had not yet been made at that point.
Once this assessment was completed, revised attendance options after 1pm were offered and explained during the call. As these did not suit, the next available appointment date was offered, accepted, and the call concluded positively.
Delays can occasionally occur due to access issues beyond our control. When they do, our approach is to assess the situation properly, communicate clearly, and provide confirmed alternatives — which is what occurred here.
Public reviews that are factually inaccurate can be particularly damaging, especially for reputable companies operating under public contract. As a business, we have a responsibility to protect our staff and our reputation from unreasonable or misleading representations, in line with our service terms and standards of acceptable conduct.

We 1st contacted Damp Doctor due to issues with condensation in our home in winter months. From 1st talking to Michelle everything was made easy and explained so well. We got a survey conducted on our property and were given recommendations to install a PIV unit in our attic. We got this unit fitted last week and already there is a huge difference to air quality and basically no condensation at all. I would highly recommend Damp Doctor. We required a comprehensive survey of our property as we were struggling with water ingression and, in places, mould. Dampdoctor were quick to respond, explained how the process worked and provided a clear report with recommendations, in just a few days.

Dampdoctors did works on 2 of my apartments almost 2 years ago to rectify ongoing issues with mould/damp. I left a glowing review back then, however have to update now with another glowing review because 2 winters have passed and there isn't 1 spec of mould on either apartment, despite 1 of the tenants keeping the temperature far below the recommended temperature to keep mould at bay! I am very relieved to be finally free from the ongoing mould issues!

AVOID AT ALL COST
They promised over the phone that they could fix rising damp with osmosis (no chemical and minimal impacts). They required then to do an assessment for 555 EUR.
Did the assessment with a very unpleasant and arrogant guy (with hygiene issues) which walked around the house with dirty shoes.
Got the quote for the job after 2 follow up emails.
Quote is overpriced, require us to arrange external company to strip all the plaster from the house, remove gas meter, add new electrical sockets. Quote also do not mention osmosis treatment but chemical. Quote is valid only for short timespan (too tight to organise all the collateral services).
They do the quote on purpose to avoid to proceed with the job and get/keep the assessment money. They also laughed at me over the phone.
Avoid at all cost.
We strongly reject your inaccurate review - it is grossly incorrect and untrue and in no way depicts our service or staff. We have also completed a full review of the service that you actually received and can confirm that there has been full transparency, and all deliverables have been met throughout the entire process. We would like to clarify that you reached out to us on Oct 1st and specifically requested an inspection. Our call handler then spent 12 minutess talking you through the deliverables relating to our inspection service and this was further followed by an email once again outlining these deliverables to you a second time. We carried out an onsite damp inspection- then provided you with a 31 Page damp report with associated recommendations and PRICES for works - and completed a follow up with you subsequent to this. This review has been edited by you twice already after you were kindly advised that your review actually contained a multitude of false facts and defamatory statements about our Company - This is very serious!
All our surveyors are professional Building Surveyors and Construction Engineers and undergo unique training in comprehensive damp diagnostics. Our surveying rates are competitive when compared with LIKE qualifications in the industry. Our surveys have proven to save our customers a lot of money as they allow our customers to focus their budgets on solutions that are centred on results and performance. Dampdoctor surveys are guided by proven Engineering and Surveying methodologies. In this case the preferred method to achieve best results was DPC Injection based on the inspection findings. We do provide electro osmosis treatments in suitable settings, and this was explained to you. We always advise people to spend on the solutions that are matched to their building for best results. Following your very uncomplimentary review we reached out to you on two occasions in an effort to help you, however you were unwilling to cooperate.
There is no mention of electrical sockets in your calls or emails from us? Would you like us to unsafely remove a gas meter even though we are not a certified gas company? Why did you go ahead with the survey if you wanted plasters even though you had been clearly told that we were not plasterers beforehand?
Regarding the comments pertaining to our surveyor this is most unusual. This is not the feedback that we receive from other customers, our surveyor is highly rated with our customers and has an NPS score above 90. Our Surveyor found your behaviour to be extremely rude and abrupt from his arrival but continued to show you respect throughout. We would also like to add that another staff member certainly did not laugh at you, she actually coughed! None of our staff members would ever laugh at any customers. Infact when we listened back to calls, we found that it was you who laughed at our staff on a few occasions! One staff member had to call you out for your rude manner and insulting behaviour at one point on one of the calls. Our staff worked very hard to treat you with respect and provide you with a good service even though they have been met with unacceptable bad manners and rude behaviour from you throughout.
