I went on a 3-day Gorilla Hiking Safari with Cymo African Safaris, and it was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish.The entire planning process was smooth and straightforward. It was our second time visiting Africa, having previously done a safari in Botswana. This time, we chose Uganda, specifically to see the mighty Murchison Falls — a destination our grandparent had spoken fondly about after their own trip years ago.We planned a 6-day Uganda safari and reached out to a few tour operators. Cymo African Safaris stood out immediately. From the start, the Owner, Simon, was incredibly responsive — replying quickly through both email and WhatsApp. He provided detailed answers to all our questions, was genuinely helpful, and very flexible with our requests. Other companies simply sent us fixed itineraries with prices and never followed up.Naturally, we had some hesitations about sending payment abroad — we’d heard stories about traveling in Africa. But Simon reassured us at every step. Once we sent the booking payment, he promptly acknowledged receipt and issued us an official receipt, which gave us confidence and peace of mind. Everything was handled professionally — no stress or worries. Cymo African Safaris are 100% trustworthy and reliable.Our safari began with a late-night airport pickup at Entebbe, where we were warmly welcomed by our guide Ronald — and to our surprise and delight, Simon himself was also there to greet us in person! After months of online communication, it was great to finally meet him face to face.The next day, we set off on our journey to Murchison Falls National Park, with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. Walking on foot to see rhinos in their natural environment was an unforgettable experience. Along the way, Ronald kept us entertained and informed with stories, fun facts, and insights about the regions we passed. We also enjoyed some delicious Ugandan roadside snacks — especially roasted corn and fresh, juicy pineapple.We arrived at Murchison and first visited the top of the falls, a dramatic and powerful sight where the Nile squeezes through a narrow gorge. Afterward, we checked into Pakuba Safari Lodge, which offered great hospitality and a perfect setting to unwind after a long but exciting day.The following day was packed with adventure — we enjoyed a thrilling morning game drive, where we saw elephants, giraffes, lions, buffaloes, and more. In the afternoon, we took a boat cruise to the base of the falls, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and countless birds along the Nile. The views and wildlife here were just incredible — the 3 days in Murchison were truly magical.From there, we headed to Kibale Forest National Park, home to some of the best chimpanzee tracking in Africa. Walking through the lush forest and hearing the distant calls of chimpanzees was already exciting — but seeing them up close in their natural habitat was the highlight. Our ranger was knowledgeable and passionate, and we learned so much about their behavior, family structures, and conservation efforts.After Kibale, we continued to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where we were treated to more spectacular game drives. One of the most memorable moments was the boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, teeming with wildlife along the banks — elephants bathing, buffaloes cooling off, and countless birds fluttering around. We also visited the Ishasha sector, hoping to spot the famous tree-climbing lions — and we did!Throughout the entire trip, our guide Ronald was exceptional — professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. He made us feel safe and taken care of at every step, and his love for Uganda was infectious.This was one of the best travel decisions we’ve ever made. From the seamless planning process with Simon to the expert guiding by Ronald, Cymo African Safaris exceeded our expectations in every way. just got back from a safari, an amazing trip in Africa. Ronald picked us up on time from Kigali Airport , took us to our booked hotel in Kigali for a few nights were we had meetings, it was nice doing the Kigali city tours with him, despite being Ugandan Ronald seemed to be having lots of knowlge about Rwanda and the logisticas moved on smothly, After Kigali to Uganda for a great wildlife experience in Queen Elizabeth Natinal park, and drop to Entebbe Airport ,Definitely recommend. We had an incredible 4-day safari in Uganda with Simon and Mandela! Murchison Falls was absolutely beautiful – the game drives were full of wildlife, and the views at the top of the falls were just wow. What really made the trip special was the white-water rafting – such an adrenaline rush and so much fun! All the safari lodges we stayed in were eco friendly, clean with nice views.
