Everyone and everything went wonderfully 😁

I have been going here a few years. In the beginning, the hygienists spent a lot of time cleaning under my gums and doing thorough cleanings to get my teeth/gums to a an appropriate spot. Now I go for more regular cleanings to keep my teeth in check. Everyone is really kind. I do not have dental insurance and this place is affordable! Thank goodness!

Came in to get an emergency tooth pulled, but couldn’t do it because their system was down to pay for it. Apparently you have to pay before they do the emergency work on you.

I needed a crown and received services on 12-12-2024 and was charged $1,092.89. I received an EOB from Cigna it states that I should have only been charged $699. I have spoken with the billing department several times and nothing gets done. I even spoke with the office manager in person and she assured me that someone from the billing department would call me by the end of the day. No one ever called so I was forced to call them. I was told that I could expect a refund by June and it is now July. At this point, I have no expectations of receiving a refund and will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and my family will no longer be using Smith Dental for services. The crown was not properly placed and I now need a root canal to fix their mistakes.

Had a wonderful experience at Smith dental. The staff is very kind and patient answering any of my questions. Olivia at the front desk was super helpful. I definitely recommend this place.

I’m so glad I discovered Smith Dental! They’re incredibly efficient and make it so easy with appointment reminders by text and phone. The entire front staff is wonderfully friendly, and Ms. Wendy is especially amazing. Highly recommend!

I've been there multiple times and they all have been absolutely fantastic! And the GM, Sandi, has been absolutely amazing in running the place!

I love this dental practice. I have had two tooth extractions in the past year. From setting the appointment to the procedure to aftercare instructions... wonderful practice!

My daughter had root canal done here, and it went amazing. Sandi the manger took her time to come out and check before the procedure and even after! She explained that everything would go well! When she came in she was immediately took back. The assistant Ashley B. Was very kind , she stayed with my daughter and explained the steps and even what the instruments were because she was so nervous, she was very caring! Dr.Elerson was very gentle as well, he made sure she was comfortable through the procedure, and made sure she was numb the whole time, and if she needed a break he took his time to give it to her. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. I recommend coming here to get any dental work needed, I am very pleased with Smith Dental!

Today I went in for root canal, and it went so smoothly and great! When I walked in I was immediately seated in the back. Dr.Elerson was very gentle, and kind and made sure I was comfortable. As well as the assistant Ashley. She stayed in the room with me, and explained the procedure and the process of how it would go. Dr.Elerson and Ashley made sure I was comfortable through the whole procedure.Sandi the general manger even came in to check on me before the procedure and asked how things went after. It was overall an amazing experience, and I was very well taken care of!!I absolutely recommend getting any work done here!!

Do not go to these money hungry mobsters. They will charge you full cost upfront, and demand that before they will schedule. Now if that wasnt enough, after insurance pays, they forget to apply the discount. Is this told to the patient, no, if it had not been addressed I honestly think they woiltm Even after they were made aware of the problem, it has been 4+ weeks.

Worth the long post! The absolute audacity they have here is unreal. Let me first start out by saying all of the hygienist were great so none of this is directed towards them. I’ve been coming here for several years and my cleanings/the hygienists were the only things that kept me around this place this long. Anyways, I recently had 6 fillings done….well they charged me out of pocket for 6 and only filed 5 through insurance (SO INSURANCE FRAUD). Then not only one but TWO fell out. After the 1st fell out I went back in and as the dentist was doing his exam he said quote “this job was preformed so badly that I cannot do all the necessary things that need to be done” which wow…your own colleague recognized the poor work done. As we were wrapping up that exam and he was flossing, the 2nd filling fell out right there IN THE OFFICE! So I ended up having to go home with TWO holes in my teeth and crazy severe pain. They told me then that they were unable to get me in anytime soon so I ended up going to a different dentist office because of how painful my teeth were. So now I’ve paid a couple hundred dollars out of pocket for bad work then had to pay even more out of pocket at the new office since Smith already filed under my insurance. At this point I’ve paid over $1000 for work that should’ve only been a quarter of that and now Smith is refusing to give me a refund! I’ve simply asked for the money that I’ve put in at their office however Becky (office manager) has refused. Hopefully out of all this you’ll see that you need to GO TO A DIFFERENT DENTIST. I strongly recommend Winterville Dental for fixing the mess and PAIN that this place has caused me!
