Melanie and her team go beyond the expected in setting up a website. They pay attention to clients' needs to understand what is needed to get the site recognized via best practices and SEO. But they also pay attention to the client themself to feel understood. In my case, it meant understanding what my next step was before I was comfortable voicing it. Then they helped me put that out in a way I not only felt at ease with, but loved. And just when I felt sad to see the process end because I thought it meant the end of the support, more ongoing support was offered. I highly recommend Melanie and the team she's gathered.

I had a website that I built on my own when my business was new and I didn't have the funds for something more extravagant. 5 years later, a friend referred me to Crownsville Media to redo and transfer my site onto another platform. It was supposed to be a few months, which turned into the better part of a year. Working with Melanie was at times like talking to another version of myself out loud -- it was a great sounding board to flush out ideas when I was overthinking. She is so personable and kind. She provided me with not just the logistics, but she took the time to educate me on things like SEO and the impact it had on my website. I started out working with multiple people from her team to build out a blog and it was going well for a while until someone from her team did not align with the direction for the blog piece of my site and I did not know how to speak up about it. While awkward at first, Melanie was nothing short of understanding, supportive, and honestly, a dream to work with. Since then, I worked mostly with Melanie and some of her developers. The process was collaborative and she made sure that it was my vision that came alive on the website, no one else's. So grateful for her patience with me and my delays with deadlines. Her eye for detail, organization, and design were so pivotal to the framework of my website. I am so pleased with how it turned out and I regularly get compliments on it. This experience taught me a lot about myself and pushed me to be more vocal in areas I shied away from in the past. Sometimes the lessons of life come in the most unexpected experiences. I look forward to working with her again in a future project.
