Hi Sultan, we want to clarify the situation so there is no misunderstanding.

When your truck was first brought to us, the requested repairs were for the cylinder head gasket and timing chain service. After completing that work, the timing chain tensioner turned out to be defective, which caused the timing to jump and resulted in damage to the cylinder head. We replaced the damaged cylinder head with another one to help get the truck back together.

During the post-repair test drive, the vehicle then developed a low oil pressure warning and the engine began making noise. Based on our inspection, this issue was related to low oil pressure that had already caused internal wear to the connecting rods and crankshaft, which is separate from the original head gasket and timing chain repair. To help move the repair forward, those components were also replaced.

At this point, the engine is running smoothly and quietly. The only remaining concern is oil consumption, and based on our findings, we do not believe this issue is related to the original repairs performed. From our professional assessment, it appears the oil filter housing/cap may have had prior damage before the vehicle was brought to us, which may have contributed to the oil pressure issue.

We understand how frustrating this process has been, and we have continued making every reasonable effort to help move the repair toward a complete resolution.

In addition, the repairs related to the low oil pressure damage were completed at our expense as a goodwill effort, even though our inspection did not indicate that those failures were caused by the original work performed at our shop.

If you would like us to determine the exact source of the current oil consumption issue, a separate paid diagnostic inspection would be required so we can accurately identify where the oil is being lost and provide the correct next steps for repair.
