I had the most wonderful experience sharing Clare and Henry’s beautiful home!
I was very blessed to have experienced a sound bath which was led by Clare and her gorgeous daughter- truly healing and spiritual. It was full of beautiful sounds, delicious incense, reiki., immersed in nature and twinkly stars projected within the marquis. I felt so relaxed and had been experiencing terrible fatigue which has lifted finally after weeks of convalescence - thank you so much the sound bath helped so much!
The bathroom was so clean, it looked brand new, the bed was so comfy in the shepherds hut, plenty of fridge space, all set in pretty countryside.
This is a unique place made special by a lovely family, would totally recommend it!

I recently stayed at Cranfield Retreat for a friend's Hen Do and it was perfect! We stayed in the yurt which was so cosy and had everything we needed. There was a great mix of communal spaces - the fire pit, marquee, hot tub, lounge and kitchen areas and also quiet spaces to sit with a coffee and admire the view. The site feels chilled and relaxed from the moment you arrive. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay with friends or family. The hosts, Claire and Henry, were welcoming, friendly and attentive. Highly recommend. Will be back with my family! Thanks for a great stay.

I had my hen do at Cranfield Glamping retreat. I want to say it was our ultimate treat and pleasure to be looked after by Clare and Henry. They went above and beyond. You feel so comfortable because love radiates through their environment, positive communications and energy. The ethos of creating shared spaces resulted in shared experiences for all sitting around the fire, the table and gathered in the kitchen. But each person also had space to be. This might have been when they were first in the hot tub early in the morning or watching an owl amongst the twinkly lights under the stars. Each accommodation offers something unique and bespoke. It was all the small and massively significant gestures which made this an experience of a lifetime. People left feeling invested in, given time and zen. All things very precious. Thank you :)

Absolutely stunning retreat to stay at and relax.
Claire (hopefully spelt correctly) and family were amazing and kind.
We treated ourselves to a sound bath which I highly recommend and we went into the hot tub also I'd recommend.
Beautiful accommodation and also great to host an event.
I went there for a hen weekend and it was so special spending time in the open air surrounded by nature.
I will definitely go there again as it's just so relaxing.
You can spend the evening in front of the large fire pit and literally just relax.

Wow, wow, wow 😮 this is a hidden gem! Loved every minute. The owners are fabulous, so friendly and can’t do enough for you. I went with my daughter, granddaughter and friends. We had the best time. The Yurt was just beautiful.
It was really cosy, comfy and very clean. It had absolutely everything we needed.
The kitchen, lounge area and toilets/showers were immaculate and all well equipped.
We had a bbq and then made use of the hot tub which the kids loved.
Such a beautiful and picturesque setting. Clare and Henry the owners were so friendly and attentive and couldn’t do any more.
We can’t wait to come back and try the shepherds hut and hobbit house 😊 thanks very much!

This is my fourth stay at Cranfield Retreat and that should speak volumes but I’m shocked I haven’t done a review on this site before. I have stayed in each of the beautifully styled accommodations and cannot speak highly enough of the care and attention to detail Clare and Henry have taken to create this little haven to ensure a warm welcome and perfect stay. Whilst we live in East Anglia this place always delights, the setting is peaceful, instilling a wonderful sense of calm and well-being and yet the hosts are discreetly available to keep the spotlessly clean and charming. Each time we have come and seen little changes testament to their passion to creating a special place and yet they have not over developed it. There is now a Shepherds Hut, Mongolian Yurt and Hobbit House all uniquely created by the hosts. There is a communal hub where you can relax if the weather is poor and a kitchen to prepare or store food and two shower rooms with WC, one of which is ideal for wheelchair users. There is also a hot tub, outdoor lounging area and sunbeds. All of this with walking distance to beautiful Long Melford and a number of other towns and villages. I can’t wait to come back for a recharge!

Second visit and loved every minute . This time we hired all the accommodation for the wider family. Wonderful location, space, peaceful, lots of walking and wildlife. Facilities are simply perfect. We all had a cracking time as a family from the youngest (1 year) to the eldest (60) and was made very welcome by Clare & Henry. Thank you from all of us and see you soon .
