BE WARNED: NOT American Heart Association certification.
To book my training, I called the number on the cprfresno.org website that uses the American Heart Association logo, branding, and BLS card images all over the site. However, when I booked the training and completed it I received an American Red Cross BLS certification.
This is a BIG PROBLEM. My institution and many others REQUIRE an American Heart Association certification. They DO NOT ACCEPT American Red Cross. Why? Because the American Red Cross is a disreputable organization with a past of fraud and fund misappropriation. Their BLS certification is worthless.
Sites advertising American Heart Association accreditation but actually selling an American Red Cross certificate are just another Red Cross scam.
Summary: No matter where you signed up for the course, be aware that you're getting a Red Cross BLS card AND that card is rarely accepted by any employer.
