What a great service. The technicians really care about the public, not just their regular customers. Gary tells me that whenever they receive service calls from the elderly about a heating or thermostat problem the first step taken is to ask whether or not the thermostat batteries are working - and that can save the elderly rural poor in Maine the cost of a service call. As for heating service and repair, this outfit is responsive, diligent and thorough. What fantastic people.
Not great customer service I wanted to pay a friends bill for Christmas. And only the office manager can process my payment for them not sure why, but the women won't call me back I've left voice-mail and messages with actually ppl in the office. Really not great at all thanks for helping make Christmas better for this family......... insert sarcasm

Cannot say enough positive about this company. The service is top notch from the phone calls to the techs. They make dealing with repairs as easy as possible and the techs have been super upfront with what needs to be fixed immediately vs what can wait.
My most recent experience: called at 7:15ish, was told I'd get a call back when they reached a service tech. Heard back at 7:25 someone would be there within the hour. Tech got here at 7:45 and confirmed the problem within 15 minutes.
We needed tanks for our generator we purchased. So we called them and another company. We decided on them because they were cheaper. We probably should of walked away when we kept having to call them back to get the offical quote to rent 3 tanks, and then to get the tanks scheduled. After taking weeks and many phone calls we where told they could place them 18 May. A week after setting the install appointment, they called us today and informed us that they can no longer lease them to us. That we now have to buy the tanks and sorry that we were told wrong. This is horrible customer service and I would look elsewhere if you need propane. Apparently, there word means nothing and neither do potential customers that may not make them enough money.

Tried to switch to country fuels this winter(later on) failed to show, failed to call when they coukdnt make it. Can not even talk to the service writer. Just talk to two awful ladies in the office that do not deserve to be there..... I am still currently with Downeast energy, which doesnt have the best customer service, but the one time they missed a delivery they were there the next morning with no added fees.
When I ordered recently, I was not informed of Country Fuel’s change in policy that they are not holding the price you will pay from the time that you order. With current markets, that results in a higher cost. The receptionist told me that “No companies are locking in the price.” I called Crowely and they said they are locking in prices from when you order, so I canceled with Country Fuel. Poor business practices of not having full transparency in pricing with their customers, and then lying when confronted about it.
There is little worse than waking up on one of the coldest days of the year to discover you've run out of oil (my gauge read 1/4 of a tank but clearly is not functioning properly, another issue). I called Country Fuel first thing and within a few hours, they were are my house delivering oil. They are always so helpful, courteous and friendly. Cannot recommend them enough!

We are a new customer with Country Fuel and cannot be happier. We switched to their propane service and it is much less expensive than their competitors. We have also asked them to service our heat pump (which was installed by another vendor) and they were timely, professional and did outstanding work. The customer service from Carrie (it might also be spelled Kerry) in the main office, Ben with the propane tank end of the business, and Derrick with the heat pump end of the business has been fantastic. We strongly recommend Country Fuel!
