Single zone ductless install:
Looking past the first impression calling the office for initial inquiries and scheduling, everything was exceptional. Milton, the owner, does the estimates directly and does not upsell nor charge extras for the little things. His prices are the most reasonable among Mitsubishi elite dealers which gives you a 12 year manufacturer part warranty. The install was timely, efficient and clean. Despite being peak season, Milton returns all messages daily. I just wish I knew about Cool Bros five years earlier when I put in 6 ductless units across two multi zone systems.

My HVAC replacement journey began in 2025 when I first requested an estimate from Cool Bros. Milton was extremely thorough during the initial visit. Rather than making assumptions, he brought out a ladder and inspected my air handler in the attic to determine exactly what type of system I was replacing. Since my air handler is located in a very tight attic space above my dining room, accessible only through a small door, I appreciated the extra effort.
At the time, I was hesitant to replace my HVAC system because, despite being over 30 years old, it was still functioning. My main concern was efficiency. Even with solar panels, my electric bills were very high during the summer months, particularly in July and August. My solar system simply could not generate enough energy to offset the cooling costs.
I ultimately decided not to replace the system in 2025. However, I contacted Cool Bros again in early 2026 for updated estimates. Over several months, I exchanged numerous emails with Milton regarding different equipment options and pricing. I remained undecided for quite some time and changed my mind several times about the system I wanted. Each time, Milton patiently provided revised estimates without any frustration. In hindsight, my indecision likely increased my overall cost compared to making a decision earlier in the process.
When I finally moved forward, I selected a Rheem heat pump system. Despite a misunderstanding regarding the installation date, the Cool Bros team arrived and began the replacement. I was originally told the installation would take two days, but due to the complexity of the project, it ultimately took about two and a half days.
One challenge occurred on the second day when the thermostat would not communicate with the condenser and air handler, preventing the system from starting. As a result, my family was without air conditioning on the evening of day 2, which happened to be an extremely hot day. I have to commend Milton for his professionalism during this situation. He even offered to pay for a hotel stay and deduct the cost from my final bill, so my family would be comfortable while the issue was being resolved. The technicians worked late into the evening but were unable to get the system operational that night. Fortunately, they returned and successfully got everything running on day 3.
The technicians were courteous and professional throughout the installation. However, I did notice that no foreman was supervising the project. As a result, I found myself pointing out a few issues, including ductwork that had not been properly sealed around two newly installed vents, which would have allowed conditioned air to escape. Once I brought it to their attention, the technicians corrected the issue. There were a few other minor concerns during the installation process, but Cool Bros addressed them promptly.
Overall, the system is performing well, and I am pleased with its operation. The only remaining concern is that airflow to the upstairs area is still somewhat limited. Cool Bros has already made adjustments, which improved the situation somewhat, but it is not yet where I would like it to be. I plan to follow up again once the temperatures rise to see if additional adjustments can be made.
Given the challenges of my installation, which Cool Bros acknowledged was a difficult project, I believe they handled the situation reasonably well. While there were some issues along the way, their responsiveness, professionalism, and willingness to resolve concerns were appreciated. For those reasons, I am giving them 4.5 out of 5 stars. Overall, Cool Bros is a solid HVAC company that stands behind its work and works to make things right when issues arise.

I appreciate Cool Bros for being an independently owned small business in Nassau County. I reviewed about 7 HVAC providers when I was in the process of installing a new HVAC system. At the end of the beauty pageant, Cool Bros were crowned the winner. They were reasonably priced and the furnace and condensor options were plentiful. Most important to me is the service and installation. They did not dissappoint. They arrived on time at 8am and left after the AC unit was turned on at 8PM. They would not leave until the job was finished. The service was excellent. The installation team were friendly, answered any questions, and didn't get in the way as they were installing the HVAC. Not only did they take away the old equipment, they cleaned everything up and put everything that they moved back into place. I would recommend Milton and his team to anyone thinking about HVAC services.
