Starting with Thank You to Andrew, Cooper and Matt for building a business model needed in the Colorado Construction and General Contracting environment. Quick note on myself. I am a 25 year veteran of the Design and Architecture business operating nationally, primarily in the Commercial TI Branded business development arenas. As an Architect I my education and apprenticeships were primarily residential and have twenty plus custom home builds worth of experience. I am intimately familiar with the IBC and IRC’s relationship that guide the design decisions we make daily. This Course is designed to pass the required four hour analogue exams related to navigating the IRC and IBC Code books. The classes navigate the chapters and their content and give a clear understanding of the content with each. I found it uncovered multiple gaps in my knowledge of the ICC’s coverage and definitions. The clear guidance instructed builds a road map to how the exams are actually built and you will experience identical scenarios while sitting for the exams. I recommend this to anyone in the construction fields working towards the General Contracting licensing and needing the base knowledge to pass the G12 and G13 exams on their first attempt. The guidance from the team provides tools for being organized and prepared. It is mind boggling how fast 4 hours will pass. The practice Exams teach how fast this time passes if unorganized and distracted. As Matt instructed multiple times, block this practice time out and it will pay off when sitting down for the actual exams. Getting that printed out piece of paper when walking out of the exam with PASSED on it makes the cost worth the price and time invested. As a Architect the Concrete Manual was riveting and eye opening. Makes me appreciate our Structural Engineering Profession even more.

Great people=Great opportunities. I started my own electrical company not too long ago and I have an awesome realtor friend Shantell who recommended Contractors of Colorado to me to be able to meet other contractors across all trades and general contractors. I could not be happier about attending a few of these meetings. Cooper, Shauna and the team here have set up something truly special where like minded people all striving for similar goals have a chance to meet each other and really get to network together. I have met so many friendly and helpful people at these meetings that will absolutely assist at my approach to keeping my first attempt at my own small business alive. Took their in-person class C license program. Instructor and course were top notch. I was very prepared and passed the test on the first try. If you are thinking about getting a contracting license in Colorado this is by far the best program out there.

I was extremely pleased with the GC License Exam Prep program. I delayed getting my license for years because I thought I would have trouble passing the exam, but after completing this course it truly made the process a breeze. Back in September I took the GC class C test prep class. I opted for the in-person class and was so glad I did. Everyone is so helpful and as soon as you walk in the door you are networking with like minded people, Bonus! Matt the instructor has a TON of experience both as a GC and a building inspector. SUPER knowledgeable guy. Class was 4 hours but I could have stayed engaged for 8 hours. Took my test 2 weeks after the last class and passed 1st try. Highly recommend this class and all the people over at CoC.

I went to Contractors of Colorado for training on the ICC 2018 exam, and it was a great experience. The instructors clearly know the material and do an excellent job breaking down the code in a way that actually makes sense. The training was practical, focused on what you really need to know for the exam, and tied back to real-world construction scenarios—not just theory.
