I had a great first-time catamaran charter experience with Conch charters in Dec 2025. The Leopard 40 owners version was clean and in excellent condition. Since this was my first charter and first time on a catamaran, they arranged a two-day training and check-out. The staff were excellent—polite, efficient and kind. They came out right away with the chase boat to fix a mechanical problem with the generator so I could keep the air conditioner on at night. 9 day charter for the price of 7 days. My next charter will definitely be with Conch Charters.

I have nothing but great things to say about Conch Charters. This was our 5th year bareboating on our of their Lucia 40s. The boat was always very clean on our arrival. I highly recommend Conch Charters for your next trip to the BVI. You'll find their positive reviews show up over and over around the internet. There's a reason for this. Having run skippered charters around the BVI for over 20 years, I’ve never experienced such a scam. Be prepared to lose your deposit for running over a fishing line which caused no damage.

I feel saddened and very surprised that Stephen has made this post as now I have to reply to evidence the facts.Stephen and his wife went to the USVI to drop off the customers Natalie Poole (who reserved the yacht) and Paul Butcher (who contacted us) from the boat on 2 January 2026 without clearing in or out of the USVI or the BVI. When they called to announce their return to our docks we asked them if they had cleared in and out, his wife lied and said they did this the previous day which was impossible as they were observed in Cane Garden Bay with the customers. They admitted they knew it is a requirement by law of both the USVI and the BVI. At our insistence, they went to the BVI Immigration and Customs and then pretended to check out, ostensibly to got to St John to pick up some luggage and then checked back in again a few hours later which is another lie.Stephen was aware that he wrapped both props when I approached him with the line the diver had removed, his words were "I hope it didn't damage the seals". On inspection the port saildrive oil was contaminated and the vessel was hauled on 7 January 2026. The seals and O rings were changed and the oil replenished. Photographs of the boat hauled out, the contaminated oil and line embedded at the back of the props were emailed to the customer. Stephen again lied by saying there was no damage in his post which is egregious, especially when he admitted and knows this can easily happen.The customers paid to fly Stephen and his wife from Gibraltar to be their captain and cook and I hope they are now perceiving them in a different light as lying and deceitful and certainly not the behaviour of a professional Captain and of a St Edwards alumni with the school motto "Pietes Parentum" They could have ended up with a significant fine for not clearing out and back in again through an international border.

Awesome team
After sitting on the beach on cinnamon bay and watching the sailboats go by,I decided that we had to do that. Our family has been sailing for many years and found the sailing in the BVI was not intimidating at all. Just studied the charts and got a good sense of where to go and where not to go. As far as conch charters the they are an awesome team from the office staff to the guys maintaining the boats. We always stay the night before and it works out great. I believe that you actually get out earlier on your first day. We had a main sail blow out near Norman island and had a reservation to dive the Rhône the next morning. Thought we would miss the dive because of the repairs, but after calling the office they had us sail to the dive site on the jib and they met us there and repaired it while we were doing the dive. Didn’t miss anything. Awesome team. We don’t know how any other charters are because after four charters we have no desire to go anywhere else. We are looking forward to doing it again this April. I’m planning on my daughter to do most of the planning and sailing. Hopefully she’ll be the captain on the next trip.

We had an amazing experience with Conch Charters for our first BVI bareboating trip from Christmas to New Year's. I am grateful that friends with a lot more experience recommended Conch. Conch was very easy to work with and responsive to all of our questions during our planning. They accommodated receipt of our provisions ahead of our arrival and had everything set up for us to sleep aboard on Christmas day, even with their office being closed. The check out process before departure is thorough and the details provided were helpful, both with respect to operating the boat and our planned itinerary. We felt well prepared during our trip and took advantage of some of their recommendations on not to miss spots. Returning the boat the following week was a breeze. We chartered a 40 ft Leopard catamaran with Conch Charters for 5 days over Christmas (2025). The entire experience was brilliant. The booking process was straightforward and all questions in advance of the charter were dealt with really efficiently by the office team. The boat was absolutely spotless on arrival and we had a very clear and thorough briefing to explain how it all worked. During the charter questions were answered promptly via WhatsApp including on Christmas Day (the issues were all “user error”!). Returning the vessel after an awesome 5 day cruise around the stunning BVI was easy and efficient. Conch's Tide of Your Life Excellence
We charted "Tide of Your Life", a 2022 Lagoon 46 a couple weeks ago (December '25). There were 4 couples, 1 couple that had never sailed. The boat was great, and what I noticed most about it was how well maintained it was. Was fully equipped, and she sailed beautifully throughout the week. The sails, sheets, and flybridge hardtop were brand new. I've sailed the Caribbean for 35 years, and this was one of the best trips and boats we've ever had. We did bareboat charter with Conch Charters over the Thanksgiving week for 9 days. Our boat - 2018 41' monohull "Take A Bow" was very clean and very well maintained. Engine ran beautiful, batteries worked well, everything on board functioned as expected. I've been on newer boats and frankly could not tell this boat was 7 years old. Had no issues whatsoever. Office staff was very responsive and easy to work from booking to completion of the charter. Marina staff was friendly and helpful and got us on our way timely. Overall, we were 100% satisfied and can't wait to come back.
Conch Charters was wonderful. Super helpful. Clean boat. AC. Hot water. Everything worked. And they even provided us all with fins, snorkels, and masks. The staff let us store our bags on the last day while we explored the town, and even called us a taxi back to the airport. I would easily recommend them again.

We had a great time. 10 family members on Soleil Rae were very comfortable, the boat performed like a new boat even though it was six years old. The staff were very helpful and bent over backwards to be helpful. I have chartered 8 times, this was the first with Conch, and this was one of best experiences I have had. We had a fantastic experience chartering the Leopard 40 China Cat Sunflower II with Conch Charters. The boat was in great condition (it's 6 years old, but felt like 2) and well rigged.
The office staff and deck crew were excellent — friendly, helpful, and extremely responsive. We’ve sailed in the BVI nearly a dozen times, and this was one of the best teams we’ve worked with.
