We hired Comfort Union in March 2024 to handle a full basement project—HVAC, a cold-climate heat pump, a Rinnai Sensei RX tankless water heater, gas-fitting for the dryer, stove, BBQ and furnaces, plus a Novo water softener and reverse-osmosis system. From the first phone call to the final walkthrough, every member of the team—Asif, Mohammad and the rest—was a pleasure to work with. Like any big job, we hit a few bumps, but the crew always made things right without hesitation. I really appreciated their forward-thinking approach: they helped us size everything properly so our 100-amp electrical panel and new Carrier furnace with Ecobee thermostat would serve us well for years. They also guided us through secondary-suite building codes and suggested smart upgrades that will save energy (and headaches) down the road. Since the work was completed, we’ve already referred several friends and neighbours to Comfort Union—and they’ve been just as impressed. Simply put, this is the best HVAC company in Calgary. Our furnace shut down early in the morning, and we called Comfort Union at 6:30 AM for an emergency furnace repair. A technician arrived within 2 hours, quickly diagnosed the problem, and found that our gas valve had caught fire. Since our furnace was 30 years old, it was time for a replacement. We had older parents so this had to be fixed immediately. By 2 PM the installation team arrived with Carrier furnace and not only replaced the furnace but also our 20-year-old water heater with new Bradford White. We are so grateful for their quick response, professionalism, and kindness.

We purchased a heat pump through Comfort Union. Asif and the sales process was very good, but it went downhill after that. The service end of this business is appalling!! The actual install took 4 days, it should have taken approximately 8 hours. The unit had to be recharged twice since it's install and is currently leaking (photos attached). The Gree unit currently cannot hold temperature in +9 and 10 degree weather. I have had this issue before but was resolved with one of the two recharges. I have been told the leak is condensate, then not condensate but residual oil left from a previous service call. All signals point to a leak in the refrigerant. I cannot get anyone from this business to come out and service the product they sold and installed. If you want a very personable sales experience with sub par functional equipment and lousy service then I recommend highly. But if you want functional equipment and action instead of excuses GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!
