I've known Bryan for many years - his compassion and service is endless. In my case, his help had been immeasurable for the long distance care of my father who had Parkinson's for 16 years and passed away. And then, for my widowed mother, who has been navigating the pain, the change and her own aging. Bryan has sat down with me on a number of occasions over coffee and given me (and our family) the advice and care which abounds in him from his many years of experience. My advice to others is to simply make one call - to Bryan. You won't need to make any others. Bryan is everything you need to navigate this emotional and painful state of life while he gets you to the point of enjoying the wonderful years you have left with aging relatives.

If you need help with a family member at home, you are looking at the right organization! The excellent people at Collaborative Home Care (Greenwich) were instrumental in helping us keep my mother at home as she wished. Every caregiver we worked with through Collaborative Home Care (Greenwich) was excellent - hard-working, compassionate, and kind. Each caregiver was knowledgeable, well supported by Brian and happy being employed by him, and really diligent helpful with my mother’s care. When my mother’s needs unexpectedly increased, Brian was able to get a 24-hour caregiver into the situation with only 48 hours’ notice. He helped us every step of the way, and was easy to reach at all times whenever a question or additional need came up. He was patient and kind with my mother’s phone calls to him even when they were unnecessary. He advocated for us and kept us informed whenever insurance questions arose. I am not sure how we would have navigated this past 2 years without Collaborative Home Care!

When my father was in need of full-time, around the clock care due to advanced dementia, we did a lot of research and interviewed numerous agencies. Collaborative really stood out to me and was the only agency that I chose to meet my parents. From talking with the owner, Bryan, I had trust in him; he listened to what our needs were, and he asked great questions. He was forthcoming, honest, and patiently answered all of my questions. His prices are fair and reasonable as well.
When Bryan met with us in my parents’ home, I could see how serious he was about finding the right caretaker for us. I watched as he very intently took in everything about the home and the people involved. It was clear that he had a complete understanding of the caretaker we were looking for because he got it exactly right.
The caretaker he found for us, Carol, is caring, warm, loving, thoughtful, and incredibly kind. She formed an immediate bond with my dad and became very important to him. She treated him like he was family, and she immediately became family to us. She took great care of all of his physical and emotional needs. While he was non verbal, we could tell that he loved her and enjoyed her company. The communication with both Carol and the agency has been easy and exemplary every step of the way.
Carol was there when my father passed away. The love and compassion she showed him, and us, continues to bring me to tears when I think about it.
In the days leading up to my father’s passing, Bryan was supportive and asked about our traditions. After my dad died, he cared about how Carol was coping with her grief. Seeing that kind of empathy reassures me that we are in good hands with Collaborative.
Carol has stayed with us to now care for another family member. Bryan continues to be communicative and responsive, and when issues have arisen with substitutes, he has handled them professionally and swiftly, and to our satisfaction and comfort.
It’s worth noting that several people from the hospice agency commended the quality of care my dad was receiving. They’ve seen the difference. There is nothing more important than the care of loved ones. I highly recommend Collaborative.

I have been working with Bryan Knust over the last 7 months; he connected me with an amazing caregiver for my Mom to assist me with her several times a week. She is very skilled at helping us with while I work from home as a consultant. She is kind and patient knowing how to support her late onset dementia and makes her smile all day long! I was very happy with my family's choice of Collaborative Home Care. I felt that Bryan did a great job of listening to the needs of my loved ones who needed care, as well as their personal preferences (one of them smokes a pipe to relax, and really didn't want to give that up). He took everything into consideration, and found aides that fit the bill.
The fact that Bryan himself made visits to the house, found potential hazards we hadn't identified, and checked up on how things were going, showed an extreme level of care that was very much appreciated.
Collaborative Home Care took a large portion of the load off my shoulders, and allowed me to breathe with the knowledge that my loved ones were safe in their home.

Collaborative home care breaks the mold of standard home care. Bryan, the owner came to our home to meet my grandparents, not just to determine their needs, but to really get to know them. This is so important in matching the right care giver to each individual and he really gets that. Bryan matched my grandparents with the most lovely care giver, Sam. We are so lucky to have found Bryan and Sam. Home care can be a difficult decision but if keeping a family member at home is the right decision, collaborative home care is the way to go!
