I recently worked with Jessica to get our pump repairs scheduled, and we were lucky to have Rick come out and handle the job. What a great team—both of them were wonderful to work with. You’ve definitely earned a new customer, and we look forward to working with Jessica, Rick, and the whole crew going forward. Thanks again.

Skimmer Replacement and Deck Repair: The people at Colin Irons work as a team to ensure success. Due to the nature of my pools problem, I talked / had contact with many of their team (office, inspector/quote, diver/leak detector, and repair), Each person was professional and informative. Shortly after the diver detected the leak , Richard (Doc) came by to explain the replacement of the skimmer and repairs to my deck . The men doing the work (Christian and Corbin) were both knowledgeable and respectful. Prior to starting, they detailed the work they were going to perform and answered my questions and concerns. They cleaned the worksite of debris as they worked, and left the work area spotless. I must also mention the attention to detail in prepping the area for the new skimmer and the precision work in patching the pool deck .

They were very responsive and were able to help me quickly resolve a minor issue by using FaceTime and explaining some settings that had to be adjusted. It was greatly appreciated and I will use them again for pool repair; big or small. Thanks!

I waited 10 months to provide a review for Colin Irons since I wanted to be convinced of a successful crack repair and resurfacing of my 44 year old pool. All good as far as I’m concerned, Doc and the guys were great and I learned a lot along the way as well. I’ve never dealt with a crack in this pool before and thankfully it is no longer a concern as the pool looks great and the chlorinator installed was a great add. They have earned my recommendation.

Due to my husband’s neuropathy, he has not been able to enjoy our pool in several years. I met “Doc” Garrett from Colin Irons Pool Services when I enlisted his expertise in installing a hand rail. Doc took a personal interest in Clyde’s situation and immediately went to work to help us reach the goal of him getting in and out of the pool safely. In 13 days, the rail was chosen, ordered and installed! Not only is Clyde able to relax in our pool everyday, but he is able to actually enjoy exercising! We have been blessed with our association with Colin Irons Pool Services and especially with the knowledge and caring attitude of “Doc” Garrett.

Excuses ~ Lies ~ Overcharges ~ still not fixed ~ unaccountable Do your homework, there are plenty of other companies that can fix your pool leak - it's not these guys. While I generally prefer not to spend time or energy leaving negative reviews, in this case I feel compelled to share my experience to help others avoid the same frustration. I hired this company to detect a leak in our pool. During the initial visit (Visit #1), they were unable to locate the source of the problem. Instead, they drilled a hole in our decking and left without any answers. They recommended further investigation, which I reluctantly agreed to despite the added cost. On Visit #2, they performed a camera inspection, claiming it would help pinpoint the issue. Unfortunately, even after using the camera, they still couldn't locate the leak. By that point, I had already spent $1,300 and were left with vague explanations and no resolution. Finally, during Visit #3, they returned to dig, cut into the pipe, and re-use the camera. This time, they were able to find the leak—which, ironically, was less than 3 inches away from the hole they had drilled during Visit #1. While I was relieved to have an answer at last, it was incredibly frustrating that it took three visits and such a significant financial investment to get there, especially from a company that claims to specialize in leak detection. Visit #4 was for the repair. They sent a subcontracted crew to do the work. The crew cut into our decking, sprayed concrete all over our backyard windows, left construction debris and materials all over the yard, and made an absolutely hideous, visibly mismatched patch to the decking for all the world to see. Over $2,500 to fix a leak they could have detected Visit #1. To make matters worse, I’m now seeing a hairline crack in the pool less than 12 inches away from the area where the repair was made. When I brought this to their attention, they refused to take responsibility. Here’s what I’ve learned: they schedule their visits in 4-hour blocks, which allows them to maximize technician output and tack on additional trip fees for follow-up visits. I strongly recommend doing thorough research before hiring them. I've shared this on multiple platforms and since they have blocked me on their Facebook page and I'm still yet to even get an apology or explanation. Learn from my experience.

The tools this company and its staff stole from my contractor company have still not been returned. Review of Ryan Nunico and Colin Iron. *update on previous 1 star review. Colin agrees Ryan works for him, but won’t warranty work because he said it’s a “side job”. Make sure you’re not a “side job” before using Colin Iron or his staff for pool repair. Colin say’s he doesn’t actually use his own staff to do your work. He subcontracts all your jobs to other people and they don’t warranty their work. We lost $3,000 to this group and our pool is still leaking. Why not just warranty your work guys? After leaving my initial review. Colin told his team of technicians to leave fake reviews in an attempt to bury this review. Rosevel Contreras is Ryan’s helper and doesn’t own a pool. He posted that “Colin Iron did work for him” Fake review. Ryan Nunico is the person who won’t warranty the work and doesn’t own a pool. He says “I recommend Colin for all my pool needs” Fake review. Are Colin’s reviews all fake? I wouldn’t trust anything this company has to say. We are a pool contractor who hired Ryan Nunico based on Colin Iron’s promise that they treat contractors fairly and deliver quality work. Unfortunately, our experience was the complete opposite. Ryan Nunico claimed he’s been with the company a long time and is Colin’s “best repair guy.” Based on that, we expected professionalism and expertise. Instead, the job was subbed out—without our knowledge—to a third-party crew, essentially kids, who showed up, did sloppy work, and left a mess at our client’s home. When we asked why the work we gave them was outsourced, their response was essentially, “We can do whatever we want with the work you give us.” That’s completely unacceptable, especially when we’re trusting them with our clients’ homes and our company’s reputation. Worse, the pool is still leaking two weeks later. We hired two separate, reputable companies to inspect the work, and both confirmed the skimmer Ryan Nunico’s team installed is leaking from the exact same spot. Apparently, instead of replacing the entire skimmer as any qualified professional would, Colin Iron’s team only replaced a section—likely to save time. That kind of shortcut simply doesn’t hold up. We’ve reached out to Ryan and his team multiple times to give them the opportunity to make this right. They’ve refused to respond. Save yourself the stress, the damage to your reputation, and the cost of redoing bad work. Don’t use this company. And if you’re relying on older 5-star reviews—be warned: many of those reviewers no longer work with them. After our experience, neither will we.

Our competitor hired a contractor we sometimes use and did not hire Colin Irons Pool Service. He then writes a negative Google review about my company when he is unhappy with the independent contractor he hired.

As a courtesy, I reached out to Justin and attempted to discuss this issue with him. He hired Ryan to work for him directly. This work was not performed, supervised or paid for through my company.

This would be similar to hiring a chef from a restaurant one heard great things about and complained to the restaurant when they paid him directly without the supervision, reputation or quality of the restaurant.

Alternatively, had one hired an oil change technician that worked at a reputable repair company and paid him directly, then one chooses to call to complain to the company about his work. The company was not involved in supervising the quality of the work and received no monetary compensation, therefore, has no responsibility to stand by the work.

Had this been contracted through my company, I would have been more than willing to work with him on his concerns to which my many 5 star reviews here will attest.
