I’ve tried just about everything over the years to improve my golf game—different instructors, methods, videos—you name it. Nothing really stuck, and I continued to struggle, especially with consistent contact and hitting fat shots.

Thank you for your review here Joel! It has been fun getting to know you and even more fun knowing and seeing how things changed so quickly for you. My whole goal is to empower golfers and you have been. I talk about becoming a ball striking machine and some think it is too much too ask. It isn't when you start to understand YOUR golf swing and what you need to do to be successful. Too much of golf instruction is based on what someone else does. That doesn't work but for a small set of golfers and I want to help every golfer enjoy this game more by hitting better golf shots, scoring better and becoming their own best golf coach. As a beginner golfer, Coach Erik was a phenomenal experience. Deeply knowledgeable and incredibly approachable. In only two hours, my group each saw significant improvement in our swings, while having a ton of fun and feeling like we were learning solid fundamentals. I would highly recommend Erik to anyone and would absolutely repeat the experience. Exceeded expectations at every turn.

Coach Erik provided a private golf lesson for myself and my two girlfriends over the long weekend and it was a complete highlight. He struck the perfect balance of informative, supportive and encouraging. I left feeling capable, excited and curious about furthering my skill level. His instruction alone, would be a reason to come back to Scottsdale. Extra points for cold diet coke, excellent photography skills, and great conversation between putts.

Coach Erik is fantastic! I've had a lot of lessons in my life... I'm a woman and currently carry a 10 handicap... Hoping to get back down to 3 or 4 like I was several years ago . This is one of the best lessons I've ever had. He has an uncanny ability to zero in on exactly what's holding you back and present it in a way that makes sense.
Do yourself a favor... Instead of buying a new golf club, spend that money on a lesson with Coach Erik you won't regret it!

I’ve been playing golf for over 40 years, including some time at the collegiate level. After stepping away from the game for 15 years due to frustration, I knew that if I came back, I wanted to do it differently—and with the best coach I could find in Scottsdale.

I’ve spent thousands of dollars on golf instruction over the past couple of years and participated in high-end golf academies as well as personal instruction at TPC. In a couple of hours, Erik helped me identify where my real swing issues were (something none of the other coaches highlighted). I’m very thankful to him and happy to share this review on him publicly. It was well worth the flight into Scottsdale just to work with him for a day.
Whether you’re near scratch or just starting, I think Erik is a top 1% coach.

Erik is an exceptional coach. As a beginner, high handicap golfer I left the lessons feeling that I knew how to achieve good contact on every swing (irons, wedges, chips and drives) and how to diagnose what went wrong on mis-hits. The biggest difference I have found with Erik compared to other coaching experiences is Erik’s dedication to helping me build a truly good swing - he dives deep and doesn’t just offer quick fixes that don’t really address the problem. Erik was invested in my improvement, and even after the lessons got follow up and drills to continue working on. Erik was very accommodating in working out a custom program that was efficient, effective and enjoyable.

Erik has been great to work with. He has a nice bay set up with track man and cameras. He worked with my specific swing to put me in the best positions to be more consistent and improve.

I have been working with Erik for about 6 months, and he has been a huge help to me. I have been playing golf for 50 + years and have engrained several bad patterns that have been holding back my consistency and effectiveness. I have worked with many coaches over the years and what differentiates Erik for me is his use of technology and data to identify areas that are suboptimal and then translates it into practice techniques and advice on what it takes to re-train the brain/body (within any physical limitations you may have) to make better movements. Erik is also very helpful on how to organize your practice to get better while still being able to play/score while you put in the work. He is clearly invested in his students as he routinely checks in after and between lessons to see how things are progressing and whether there are any questions. As a year-round resident of AZ, it has also been incredibly important (and helpful) that Erik also teaches here year-round – and his teaching center is quite comfortable in the summer! In the time that I have been working with Erik, I have shot some of my best scores in many years. I still have a lot to work on but couldn’t be more pleased to have Erik working with me and believe we have a good clear path forward. Thank you.

Erik is a amazing golf instructor. His approach is to listen first what is troubling your game. Then approaches to fix. Lots of great tools to achieve those things too. Highly successful results. Bravo.

Amazing experience! Erik is so knowledgeable and the setup he has is legit. The best part is he goes with what you have and where you want to go. He doesn’t try to put you into a mold, but rather takes your feedback and feels and works with you to solve the puzzle.

I have had a few lessons with Erik and loved it! Erik explained things in a way that finally clicked for me. I noticed improvements in my swing right away and felt more confident after just one session. He’s really easy to talk to and I highly recommend Erik to anyone looking to sharpen their game on the course!

In so many ways, I enjoy helping golfers just like you! Learning to strike the ball first every time is the key and that is when golf becomes very enjoyable. I have been playing for about 20 years and am single digit handicap and I have improved greatly in just 6 months in seeing Erik. He has a really cool set up with an air conditioned hitting bay with a roll-up door at the back of the driving range. He also has all of the technology including Trackman. He’s really good at using the data to help you understand the movements you need to make to be a better golfer. He’s also a cool guy. Highly recommend!

Recently had an introductory lesson with Coach Erik and honestly, it was awesome! He quickly identified the reasons why I was struggling with irons. We Immediately got to work on ball first contact drills. He explained what we were doing and why we were doing it in a way that resonated with me personally. I took that lesson to the course and it translated immediately. Long straight iron shots giving me birdie opportunities. That what I came to coach Erik for and that’s what I got with one lesson! I’ll be back for more soon to help other parts of my game but I can’t recommend this coach enough!

Reviews are goofy. What you are looking for in a coach may not be what I was looking for in a coach. HOWEVER, there are a few things that you should know about Coach Erik.
1. He is super honest. He is not going to tell you that you are going to be a better golfer after one lesson. I mean, you might understand your swing a bit more, but it takes time to completely change your swing. This process is long, hard, and totally maddening. But, if you stick with Coach Erik he will get you there.
2. He really cares if you get better. I know all coaches say that they care, but that's not true. They only care about you for the one hour that you are with them. Then it's crickets until the next lesson. This is not the case with Coach Erik. He constantly communicates with you. Checks in and asks how your practice and playing are going. He wants you to send him videos of your progress and then gives you feedback. See the attached photo.
3. His studio is legit! Coach Erik has a very advanced and tech forward studio. If you love analytics Coach Erik's studio will have you geeking out about Trackman numbers. If you are more of a feel player, Coach Erik has a ton of tools and gadgets to help you find that right swing thought.
4. He is extremely knowledgeable. Coach Erik fully grasps the golf swing. He understands body mechanics and club orientation. More importantly, he understands that you are unique and what works for me may not work for you. This is clutch with any golf coach. We are all different. Check out the guys and gals on tour. They all have different swings. We are no different. There is no one size fits all approach. Coach Erik tailors his lessons to you. Your body type, your abilities, and your mental knowhow.

I started playing golf at work with friends so for my birthday a friend purchased golf lessons with Erik for me! I was incredibly nervous the first time I went to take a lesson as I had no knowledge at all. But Erik does a fantastic job as breaking things down to a level that’s easy to understand. Now I look forward to going to my lesson & my golf swing looks 10x better after only 3 lessons.
