I've collaborated with CMS on some remodeling work for a client, and they were SUPER easy to work with, and helpful beyond what their role really required. I definitely recommend them to make the stressful job of dealing with restoration much less painful.
Bathroom Restoration
It was a great experience working with CMS, they did an excellent and oustanding restoration job of our bathroom. Steve was very helpfull and great by taking care of everyhting from dealing with the insurance to assigning the crew for the restoration. And by the way thank to all of them for a great job done.

They took care of everything. They are very direct which is not to be confused with rude. They know what they are talking about and will make sure the job is done properly. They coordinated multiple repairs on my house saving me time to do life things.

I originally wanted to go with my own floor guy, and drywall guy. After I met James with CMS and he came to look at all the damage, I was sold. That was the best move I have ever done. CMS was assigned to us through USAA to repair water damage that occurred due to the heavy rain storm in Colorado Springs at the end of July. The repair required several subcontractors to come into our home to tear out drywall, wet insulation, and replace and repaint. The end result looks like nothing happened. Every subcontractor they had come into our house was excellent, easy to work with, and very friendly.

CMS did an excellent job of mitigating our water damage and overseeing the replacement of the flooring. They smoothly coordinated the many steps in the process after mitigation: moving furniture, removing the damaged floor, installing the new engineered hardwood flooring, and returning the furniture. Their workers were very polite and competent. They cleaned up the debris at the end of every day. We were kept informed at every step. Highly recommended!
5 stars for CMS restoration as handled our water damage insurance claim. I was very overwhelmed with the insurance process and getting work completed until Steve and his team stepped in and took over. Steve was on top of getting an estimate done, knew exactly what would and wouldn’t be covered by insurance and quickly had subcontractors over to begin work. Keegan was excellent at communicating timeline and expectations. From the drywall repair, to carpet, to paint and carpentry, electricians, movers, storage pod delivery … every single person that was in and out of our house was professional, kind, and did excellent work. Highly recommend CMS restoration.

Response: Interesting response Steve, as we actually found subs cheaper and with integrity, that do quality work. Saved our insurance company $$ along the way. Good luck with your harassing/bullying techniques. Looks like you had another problem on a USAA claim--we will share our experience for sure. Understand why, after 25 years in business, you are still not accredited by the BBB.
I do not recommend CMS as they serve as the "middle man" and simply do not manage the work, especially for insurance claims, but they will claim their 20% management fee!
We raised a valid question regarding the management of subcontractors. For example, an insulation subcontractor arrived for an 8:00 AM appointment at 7:20 AM, which startled our tenant. Since CMS performed the demolition, and had pictures documenting how the insulation was prior to demolition, there SHOULD have been oversight/supervision of the subcontractor they hired to install the insulation in order to ensure it was done correctly….and that did not happen…requiring US to provide that supervision and ensure it was installed correctly, as the original install was incorrect. The insulation sub-contractors had no supervision or clear understanding on what needed to be done. When we inquired with the owner of CMS about the oversight and management of the work, requesting such, we were abruptly fired without cause.
Shortly after being terminated, the owner sent a bill for $297 at 10:08 AM, followed by another invoice for $334.80 at 11:42 AM that same morning. Interesting. We even reached out to the insulation company owner (sub) about the lies the CMS owner shared with us via email about the encounter with the insulation sub. We even attempted to pay “Jeff Foxworthy” directly as CMS had already terminated our contract with them.
Just four days later, we received a delinquency/demand letter from the CMS "legal team", which seems excessive and unwarranted, especially since the contract clearly states you have 30 days upon payment from the insurance company! This entire situation appears to be harassment, especially given that we were fired for merely asking reasonable questions and wanted the work to be appropriately managed.
The owner’s actions and lack of professionalism speak volumes about his business practices and character. You can draw your own conclusions about this business, I do not recommend them.
Not surprising review since we had to send you to collections for non payment for our our services completed. I see you finally paid us in full today. Now I understand why Erin said you cant find contractors to work for you!
The CMS team was absolutely wonderful to work with. Due to an extensive leak my entire kitchen had to be redone. They helped and worked with the insurance and once all the material was here they completed the project in 2 weeks. I could not be more thrilled with my new kitchen.

Wow..what a positive experience a we had working with CMS. First, their interactions with our insurance company were flawless. We had a tight deadline to get our entire basement renovated and Steve and the team were awesome evaluating our situation, communicating requests and pushing every contractor to meet our Deadline.
